WTB: 27-2 4 inch in very good/excellent condition

Fewer of the 4" made than any other barrel length, ergo "rarist", ergo, most desireable, ergo "highest priced". Bought one, nickel, 99%, in Tulsa at the spring show for $875 butt naked. Found one in blue in the display case, 98%, this fall, but asking price was $1100. Didn't keep his info...

    Silhouette 686/586

Anybody know for sure if any 4" barrelled Silhouette guns were produced? There is a product code for it but I've never actually seen one with the 4 position front sight. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Ashland Mod 60-1 Target

A very nice 60-1 came to a gun show near me last week end. Has Target rear sight and tall ramp front sight. SN ALU33xx. Since there were 660 made in 1986 for Ashland, I assume everybody has at least 1, but after 10 years, I finally have mine.Too bad no box or papers, but at least I have the gun.

    K32 Question

Both my Pre 16 and 16 no dash have the serial number stamped on the right grip. They are both Magna style grips. This is a great find as the Pre 16 is not an easy gun to find. Hope you enjoy it.

    General Serial Number Question

For those going to the Boise show, I'll have a display of "The First 100 Years of I/J Frames" with examples of all various Models including those with all numeric serial numbers, the newer ones with single alpha numbers and the latest with 3 alpha-4 numeric numbers. Hope to see you there.

Pre 29 gun box restoration question

I've repaired a number of S&W boxes and I use white Elmers glue which seems to work well and lasts a long time. Not so sure that super glue would work as well. If you use the white glue, make sure to wipe off excess after you press the two parts together. Good Luck

    38 S&W regulation police

I agree with David. I paid $425 for a 98%er 4" in 2004. Boxes are hard to find. None of mine are original boxes. If you don't want to get it, I'll take it. Good find!

    Pre-12 Airweight... questions

Linda: Most of the early ones I have seen still retain their alloy cylinders. I've had 1/2 doz of these over the last 20 years and they all had slightly deminished finishes, but retained the original cylinders. I wonder how many were actually returned to the factory.

    Pre-35

I finally located a pre M35 a couple of months ago. Great gun! Haven't had mine to the range yet but have great expectations. If it shoots like the M35-1, it will be great. Congrats on a great find.

    Value of early Model 18's?

A Model 18-1 is going to go for a lot more than $700 in the condition you have indicated. Very hard to find. The -2 and -3 are much more common and $ 700 is about right. Good luck on the hunt, that's what makes it fun!

    Surprisingly Productive Gun Show

Congratulations on the M58 acquisition. Do the grips number to the gun? Most of the ones I have seen with correct grips are the PC style. Good pricew on the M36 too.

    K-22 5 inch barrel?

5" K22 Not sure I would have popped $750 for it either. Not without the letter. What gun show were you at in SW New Mexico? Didn't know they had shows in that area. :-) Maybe Tombstone?
