Picked up a nearly new .38 Regulation Police this weekend. SN#58510.
All numbers match, including the one on the BOTTOM of the round butt.
Any one else have a round butt .38 RP? I didn't know any were made. Thought all the RP's had extended grips on a rounded frame with a shouldered backstrap...
Pre M 15?
Whoa boys. Don't forget S&W was making 4" pre model 14's also. Make sure to check the front sight before you jump to the conclusion that 4" is automatically a pre 15.
M35 info
Getting a ship date for the Model 35 no dash almost requires a letter. One would want to say 1957-1961 because thats the beginning and ending dates for the no dash model numbers. However there were few Mod 35's made as they weren't all that popular and because S&W shipped whatever was...
Great gun and nice photos. I have 14's in 4" and 6" but no 5". Love to have one. Maybe I'll get lucky in AZ. Glad there are still some nice revolvers in CA!
Need the above papers for the S&W Models 20, 21, 22, and 26. I also don't have the sheets for the 45, 56, and 73 but according to experts, they were never produced.
Thanks for any help.

I'm looking for the Sheets for the Models 20, 21, 22, & 26. Anybody have these or has anybody even seen them. Also the sheet for the Model 56 but I doubt if one was ever made as these guns went to the military.
Thanks for any info.
I have a pre M42, SN10510, round butt, J frame with smooth presentation grips with black metal backing buttons. The major diference between the "standard" J frame grips and those for the Centennial M 40 & M42 is the larger relief areas at the top of both grips to allow for the frame coming down...
ND or "no dash" both work fine and remove any possibility of misunderstanding. I've been looking for several "no dash" models and have never been misunderstood and its only a few extra characters to type.
Just my 2 bits worth
I picked up a 66-2 with 2 1/2" barrel this weekend for less than $600! Excellent condition but no box or papers. My camera software tood a dump so will post pics later.
#105/1500 is hanging in my entry hall and has been for a while. I picked up # 1182 recently in its original corrigated shipping box with the label numbered to the picture/buckle/knife. They come out every once in a while. Worth about $500-550.
Need a Model 31 no-dash for a display. 98% or better, box not necessary but would be nice, 4" preferred, either finish. Should be C&R which I have.
Thanks

I know some are interested in the 3" variety of Model 10's. There is a 3" round butt, SN# 17Dxxxx, coming up for auction at Auction Productions in AZ. Its lot 367. On-line bidding available if interested.
There is a Model 68 on Gun Broker which has a 4" barrel. The S&W on the barrel appears to be centered on the barrel. Anyone know of one like this? I have only seen the 6" versions.
Thanks for any education on this model.

Just joining this forum from the S&WCA forum. I've been a collector for 30 years in Calif until 2 years ago. Now in the wonderful gun-friendly state of AZ and loving it. Looking forward to lots of good advise here.
