Have anyone else had this problem, with the Shield 45?

Have anyone else had this problem, with the Shield 45? I have run approx. 600 rounds thru my shield 45 and after a trip to the range, I was cleaning it, and found that the recoil spring assembly just barely extend long enough to engage the barrel lug, and upon Disassembly, the recoil spring...

    Shield 9mm Disappointment

Is your Shield still new? I always run 2-3 hundred round thur any new carry pistol, before you know what you got. The slide lock release may loosen up, but the light false reset click is how it is.The S&W service dept have been great every time which I have needed they, but you may be a little to...

Shield IWB holster for fat guy~ Anyone use a Smart Carry Holster

I know that many people like to carry just wearing a T-shirt. And the only way it can be done is in an IWB holster. After about two hours of wearing an IWB holster, I am wishing that I was pocket carrying. I suggest that the best way to carry a shield size weapon would be in a good belt holster...

The shield 45 is a great CCW, but not for me.

As I sit here I have a LC9sPro in my pocket, when I go out I will put the 9mm Shield on my belt, each are great for what they are.

The shield 45 is a great CCW, but not for me.

The shield 45 is a great CCW, but not for me. I have a shield 9 which have given me great service for the past three years, but when the 45 came out I had to get one. Well I got one and broke it in with 200 rounds without any problems (I suggest that everyone should be sure that any new pistol...

Which self-defense ammo is best in the short barrel Shield 45 ?

Today at the coffee shop, we had a discussion on the best 45 carry ammo, and I hear everything from regular pressure to +P and bullet weight from 185 to the full boat 230 grain. Now we are NOT talking about a full size 1911, but a shield 45 with a 3.3” barrel. In your opinion, what is the best...

    Shield .45

There may be a need to for some to upgrade their trigger, but my shield 45 is great out of the box and I find no need to mess with it.

I picked up my S&W Shield in 45acp.

I got out to the range today, ran 200 white box (230 round nose) + 40 Golden sabers 185 g, with no malfunction. The trigger was a little better than my 9mm Shield. The recoil was mild with two hands, but with one I was getting a little muzzle flip (the target was the first 6 rounds, one handed)...

    Shield 45 in the house

It could have happen, I was on the list and my came in last week, his price out the door was better than I got (and yes I have posted photo on another thread). Why do people start talking about updates, even before they shoot it?

I picked up my S&W Shield in 45acp.

I don’t think that I am going get to the range until next week, but someone asked about a comparison between my Glock 36 and the Shield 45, per their web page, the shield is .11 of an inch slimmer, .11 of an inch is a big deal for IWB carry.

I picked up my S&W Shield in 45acp.

Yes the 45acp is a little more, but if you watch where you buy your ammo it is not too bad ,last week@ Walmart I picked up box of 100 9mm for $24.64 and a box of 100 45acp for $37.97- so $13.33 more per 100 for range ammo.

I picked up my S&W Shield in 45acp.

This morning, I was able to pick up an S&W Shield in 45acp (the first ones I have seen). I have been carrying a Glock 36 in an IWB holster for almost 4 years and have had no issues with it, except for its width. I like the 45acp for CCW, but the G-36 is a little too wide for me to carry every...

    Replacement for M&P line?

The M& P line is directed at two groups of shooters, target shooter and Concealed Carry shooters. As a Concealed Carry shooter I am concern on how the weapon shoots at approx. 21 ft. (if the target is farer than 21 ft away-I need to be running the other way). With the sell of the M&P shield I...

    shield & compact

I have a Glock 26, Shield and Lc9S Pro in 9 mm, each have it place in my rotation of carry. I don’t carry the G-26 much, to me it is a brick, the shield feels like a full size pistol and carry well IWB holster, if I am going to pocket carry I like the LC9sPro ( the shield is a little too big). I...

    Thinking of buying a Bodyguard

A 380 is better than a sharp stick-if you can carry a 9mm it is better than two sharp sticks

    Thinking of buying a Bodyguard

I agree- the shield is a little too large for pocket carry. I have a 380 LCP , but wanted something larger, so I went with a LCPS PRO which is a better size for pocket carry and I will take a 9mm over a 380 any day .
