    Southern Expression Really Old.

Not from the south but being brought up in a WI tavern. "He's three sheets to the wind" or something appropriate for this forum "If gun powder were brains he wouldn't have enough to blow his nose"

Putting the Argument to Rest: The Indisputable Best Self-Defense Caliber/Cartridge.

I got the popcorn popped before I even started reading the responses. This posts comes under the category of "stir the pot". LOL. And I agree 12 ga. hands down.

    New Model 3 question

The old top breaks are super cool. When I win the lottery! I have a meager Smith collection but all mine are in the shooter category. Maybe someday the gun gods will smile upon me with a Schofield but until then I'll continue to appreciate these posts. Thanks for sharing.

    Ultrasonic Cleaner Question

For small gun parts, WD-40. I use a small plastic container filled with WD-40 so as not to contaminated the tank.

    Just inherited…identification help please.

Get the letter as mentioned earlier. You have what most Smith&Wesson enthusiasts consider the Gold Standard of revolvers.

    Crack in barrel cone?

Correct me if I'm wrong but this the reason S&W developed the L-Frame.

Can I see your work benches?

I built my bench big enough so I have essentially two work stations but what I like the most is the hydraulic lift underneath it.

    New Model 19 Strength

They came out with the L-Frame to address the issue that the K-FRAME couldn't hold up to a steady diet of heavy 357 loads. Which I think was an excellent move. Now it appears S&W came up with some creative design changes to address the K-FRAME shortcomings, kudos to S&W. And if Jerry says...

    Fix it myself

I agree with you guys about YouTube. I call it YouTube University. I've used it over and over again to get familiar with a project that's are way out of my wheelhouse. One most noted is my 300 disc CD player. It malfunctioned, went on YT and sure enough a video on how to repair it and...

How Do You Use Your Revolver(s)? Favorite Things?

I carry all the time, self defense. One next to the bed, home defence. Practice to maintain some level of competence and just for the enjoyment of shooting. Reload to support my shooting activities. I also have a cabin in the north woods of WI where bears and wolves are not uncommon. When...

    Letter request turnaround time?

For my 29ND, first letter for me, took a little over a month. That was this last April.

    New Ruger MK4 Paper Puncher

My wife, bless her heart, has always been willing to try pistol shooting and I've bought several pistols over the years for her but they are always "too heavy" or "too big", or couldn't rack the slide, always one thing or the other. She's also recoil sensitive. Until I picked up this RUGER...

Smith & Wesson M&P 1926/1927 Mint unfired condition question?

If you would be so kind, what is the serial number (ballpark # is fine) on your 1926 M&P? For sentiment reasons I'm in the market for a revolver from 1926. From what I've gathered so far the serial number range for 1926 is approximately 510000 - 560000.

610 ND, 5" NEW TO ME

I see a 6.5" no dash w/box sell on line recently for $1926, A dash-1 for $1429. You have to consider these are auctions with additional fees to take into account. I think the 5" ND should bring a premium but I'm a little bias. If I was buying a ND 5" ANIB I'd be very happy at $1500. But the...

    K22 better pictures

No matter how big you build your garage, it's never big enough. I was so happy when I first built my new garage/shop but within a couple years I was running out of room. Oh well that a good problem to have. Here's another good thing to have, my '52 K22. The finest 22 revolver made.
