    Pre 29 Black box

As many here before me have stated, that's a beauty. I was very fortunate to have come across a 4-screw but it pales in comparison to yours. Mostly because of the whole package and condition. As time marches on these are getting harder and harder to find. Welcome to the forum.

Finally found a 610 for a good price

I'm also a big fan of the 10mm. The 610 ND 5" is one of my grail guns. So settled, well I wouldn't exactly call it settling but I bought a 10mm Tanfoglio and no regrets. Super gun, I highly recommend them.

    29-1 Sold just this minute…

Would it be safe to say that a dash 1 for most revolvers being made at that time would be rare? I know the it is also rare for the model 17 and that it is related to the right hand left hand threads of the ejection rod.

To Polish or Not to Polish?

IMHO, polishing would be a detractor. That's just me. Vote of one.

    Which 586 or 686??

I'm like minded here an apparently, alot with of company. If and when I see a 568 4" I'll be buying. A 686 just doesn't appeal to me the way a blued model does. What I don't understand, wanting A nickel 586. Why not just buy a 686? That just me.

    29-5 Classic DX 5 inch

Definitely a grail gun. Congrats and thanks for posting. There's still hope, I'll keep looking.

    The before..and..after!!

Nicely done. Good to see a neglected piece transformed back to a nice shooter. I would like to know if the author thinks the money spent on a project like this was worth it?

    The Bren Ten Curse

There's no question the Bren 10 flopped. But it was a great idea alive and well in today's market. A host of polimar guns and 1911s in 10mm. And for me the Tanfoglio, the Witness is a nice carry gun and the full size guns are world class. I make no bones about it, I'm a big Tanfo fan boy.

    Advice, M17 & M18-4

If you have to pick one, most definitely the 5-screw Model 17. From a collectors view point the 17 is way more desirable. I have one myself.

    CZ-75?

One of the best pistol designs on the market. Most are all steel so they are on the heavy side but that's a plus when shooting. Excellent guns love mine which includes the Tanfoglio clone.

Smith & Wesson Model 29-1 Buyer Beware

As for someone who has bought on line this is an excellent cautionary tale and reminder, careful out there.

May become a flatlander again.......Any Wisconsin Residents out there??

We have some of the best whitetail hunting in the country. Plenty of gun shows still popular. Gun laws are liveable, no waiting periods, conceal carry no problem, no mag limits. Standard background check with FFL purchases and extra state paperwork on handguns. Our gun laws are best this...

    Considering a 5.7x28

Looking for some advice from someone with experience with the 5.7x28? At the moment I haven't decided which one to buy. Watching the review videos on U-Tube (FN, Ruger, PSA, S&W, Tisas) so far I'm liking the Smith. I've only got hands on experience with the PSA Rock, price is supper...

    Revolver storage questions…

Agreed, been using this stuff since the '70s, never a problem with rust. Rust is neglect.
