A dozen years or more ago, the EPA provided a clean up standard for one part per billion when dealing with lead. Their testing then provided them with the information that the US averaged six parts per million in most areas. They decided to put the matter on hold.
I put together a TC Hawken kit in 50 caliber about 1980. I shoot it off and on but not nearly as much as when I lived in Idaho with a special season. I bought a 54 cal bbl a few years back and play with it as well. Been through several single shot pistols but they are gone now.
Welding on gas pipes in all positions in the ground, you had better have ear plugs in because a hot one will roll around in your ear for a bit.
Also if you smell burning you had better check your coveralls. Knees and bottoms fray and will catch a spark.
I think the removal of the Birds Head grip improved it 100%. It's all about fitting your hand. I have carried and feel comfortable with a Blackhawk 45 4 5/8", A 4.2" 69, Kahr CM 40 and a 4" 610. I have found too large to carry a Glock Model 40, 6" 10mm and still feel my Kimber Target 45 is too...

Coming back from an ice fishing day a friend and I took a drive up a long abandoned mine road to scout...
It might be possible to fit 19 magazines in a flat mailing envelope but I think it would be difficult. Perhaps he didn't like the sale price and arranged poor shipping to take his chances on a re-sale.
Location, Location, Location. I am used to paying a travel charge for distance from the shop as I live outside a small town with no service shops. I have never seen a gas charge but it gets rolled into a travel charge, I'm sure.
I live outside a town with a population of about 1500. There is another 5,000 in the 20 mile circle around it. The paper prints the police calls and I don't recall ever seeing a vehicle break in report. More importantly, no one mentions it at a coffee shop. There were some thieves who hit...
When I retired I was using a transfer prover to test the accuracy of natural gas meters. Our price for the prover was around $38,000 and it required a $5,000 going over from the factory every 5 years. Their software had to be compatible with Windows XP as their were companies that still had...
