    I would like to determine the date of my S&W top break .38S&W 5 shot revolver with a 5" barrel. It has the grip safety and the last patent date is June 5 1890. It has S&W black plastic looking grips, the s/n on the butt is 1461xx.

    I have what I believe to be a Victory model .38S&W, 5" w/lanyard s/n V7115xx. It has markings on the left side of the barrrel of, .38 767" and 3 1/2 tons. Also on the left side is a crown and the letters, "BNP" On the backstrap is stamped, "RH 203" Anyone have an idea what all that means...
