    Model 29 for concealed carry?

Many thanks! Those cases you mention are speed strip pouches from Milt Sparks. All the rest of the leather goods are from Barranti Leather (and so is the Skeeter hat haha!)

    Model 29 for concealed carry?

A bit of a dated thread resurfacing here, but just to pile-on a bit anyway LOL… While this isn’t mainstream by a long shot and isn’t something I’d widely recommend, I’ve found success with both 4” and 5” N Frames carried in respective Barranti Leather Summer Classic IWB holsters. I have a...

    Simply Rugged 120 4 5" N Frame

Love it - that’ll do to “ride the river with” as the saying goes. 5” 27s are near and dear to me, too - looking forward to more pics of this holster when time permits.

    Wish me luck☘️ PASSED!

A belated congratulations! I took and passed my Technician test almost exactly 10 years ago, as I just had to renew my license haha. Took the test at the behest of a buddy who is far more into the hobby than I am. I joke that I just may be the least active Ham radio operator ever haha...

Pre 17 dilemma. Which would you keep?

If going with only one is a must, I’d vote for the ‘48. Granted, I’m biased as I own and regularly shoot a ‘47-era K22 myself.

    Observations of new 686MG

Congrats on the 686MG and looking forward to future reports on it. That gun definitely got my attention when it was announced.

    Praying for you right now.

In light of so many 9mm threads - list your 9mm pistols here!

SIG P226 (the recent 40th Anniversary edition) and a P229R. The latter now wears Hogue aluminum grips just like the former’s.

    Pistol Caliber Carbines

I liked a PSA 9mm AR carbine that I owned for a time. Hit a couple of hiccups with it in the first 500 or so rounds; after that, smooth sailing to at least 3,000 or so rounds before I sold it toward funding something else. I wouldn’t rule-out buying another 9mm long-gun.

    FOUND Need a holster for 4” N

Just so you bunch of sixgun-toting enablers can feel good about yourselves, I’m currently packing as I type a 4” M28-2 in the aforepictured DeSantis Speed Scabbard. Milt Sparks 6-4C speedstrip carriers also visible. There’s some Barranti ammo-carrying items not in this shot. Belt by the...

    Finally Got Me a 5" Model 27

Sheer blasphemy (in this thread, at least)! Kidding, kidding - I love the look of those MGs. I’m very tempted to make a play for one of the new .357 ones and was surprised to see on of the not-often-seen originals offered for sale here in the last couple of months.

    Finally Got Me a 5" Model 27

Nice! I’d forgotten about those. (Not an LEO here but my father was for a time).

    Finally Got Me a 5" Model 27

Love that whole setup! I suspect the officer that wore it on-duty would have had to have used some belt “keepers” to help anchor that hogleg and gunbelt securely.

    FOUND Need a holster for 4” N

While I have the older DeSantis Speed Scabbard pictured, I’d found a NOS offering of same on GB; think I’ve seen them on eBay, as well. This one is on GB right now…

    28-2 With Some Atypical Features

Thanks, all, for the comments and advice - I appreciate y’all’s sharp eye for detail, you’re pointing things out I’d completely overlooked re: the cylinder drag-line, etc. Many thanks! I’d like to keep this offbeat / oddball 28 running smoothly.

    What Part Is This?

Maybe 50-ish or so rounds into the range session, I’d reloaded and fired the first round and could hear / feel something “different” about the gun. Like an extra “click” from the cylinder. Kept firing, eventually encountered the now-spent cartridges until coming back around to the round that...

    What Part Is This?

Thanks, all. I will likely turn the gun over to a local gunsmith for corrective action on the skipping.

    What Part Is This?

Thank you both and there is a visible part as shown; the cylinder notches are being engaged by this. I’ve not had the side plate of the gun off; honestly, I’ve never removed that plate (though I always remove the whole cylinder assembly for cleaning).
