Model 38 - Anybody Shoot or Carry Older Bodyguard?

I have carried my Model 49 for the last couple of years. Nice revolver; no doubt. However, I recently switched to my snubnose Model 10-5. I can shoot it a lot better (more comfortable to shoot) and it is not that much heavier, or larger.

K frame snub carry was surprisingly easy

I switched from my J Frame Model 49 to my K Frame Model 10-5 and I'm loving it. So much more pleasurable to shoot, which means more practicing and consequently, better shooting. I put the factory wood grips back on the Model 10 and got a nice Craft IWB holster for it, and you can hardly tell the...

It should say it here if it is a 10-6.

I could be wrong, but I think I saw them at Bass Pro Shops for under $500.

    Under desk holster?

Strange. That reminds me of Clint Eastwood's movie "Unforgiven": Little Bill Daggett: You just shot an unarmed man. Bill Munny: He should have armed himself if he's gonna decorate his saloon with my friend.

    It's ruined!

Here is some interesting reading that I ran across while trying to find out how US civilians ended up sending arms to Great Britain at the beginning of WWII. I don't know who wrote it, and I don't intend to go any further; but I did find out some things like who the ACDBH (?) was. American...

    Is this a Victory model?

Verify that the hand-written serial number on the right grip doesn't match the original serial number of V779565 (99.9% sure it doesn't); then, remove them and sell them here. With the money you make, you can buy a correct set of grips and a lanyard ring for it. Clean up the gun and depending...

    What Denotes a Model 10 from 1965

Looking at a LoA that states that a Model 10-5 with a tapered barrel S/N C 718757 was shipped from S&W on January 22, 1965. LoA's don't tell you when a handgun was made; rather, when S&W shipped it. Like in this case, for example, it could have been made in December 1964. HTH.

    Help Me Identify Two Revolvers

I bet the Father in Law used to compete in NRA Bullseye pistol matches (now "Precision Pistol" matches) with those revolvers dressed with Fuzzy Farrant wood grips. He may have even used them in the Service when he was young. They were real big on them back in the 60's and early 70's. I shot NRA...

    It's ruined!

I believe Winston Churchill was speaking of Nazi Germany subjugating Great Britain; not, individual freedoms like gun ownership in the U S.--even though his mother was American, from Brooklyn, NYC. Between 1900 and 1964, Churchill was a member of Parliament, and to my knowledge, during all...

    It's ruined!

It used to be that way, but narcotraficantes are now armed to the teeth with fully automatic weapons. I'm originally from Cuba, and in 1969 I lived in the DF for three months while waiting on an American visa to enter the US legally. I was 15, and by myself. Did not see my parents for 10 years...

    It's ruined!

Yeah, that sucks, Mate :-( That and high taxes are some of the reasons I know a couple of British expatriets (sp?) that moved to America. It seems like criminals in the UK have more rights than law abiding citizens, and it's getting worse. And PTL, we have a new administration, for we were going...

    Another Cattaraugus 225Q Refurb

    Model 632, 32cal, UC-Off to a bad start

I would try a .25 ACP semiauto before I thought about carrying a .32 S&W (.32 Short) revolver. And with a Beretta with a tip-up barrel, you don't have to rack the slide. Buy Personal Defense Punch 25 Auto Ammo 45 | PD25P1
