    Tragedy near Kerrville

Agreed. Who would be on Facebook looking for weather advisories between 1am and 5am?

My first revolver, a Model 13-3

I have a very similar one in stainless steel - a M65-5 FWIW, and IMO, the 3" fixed-sight 357s are the most versatile revolvers S&W ever sold. I know that if I ever had to sell all my guns, the 3" 65-5 would be the last one to go. Your M13-3 is a great revolver and you got it for a great price.

    M1917 Questions/Opinions

FWIW, a lanyard ring isn't hard to find and not too expensive. I bought one a couple of years ago on fleabay for around $15 IIRC. Though I see they are about double that now.

    Price for Unique Powder?

If I really need it and he wouldn't go for $200 for all 6, I'd probably be willing to sweeten the offer up $40 a pound ($240 for all 6), but I'd have to need it pretty bad to go any higher than that. There are better pistol powders than Unique, but there aren't many that can be used across such...

    .22/32 Heavy Frame Revolver

The marking is ctually 32 Long CTG - not OTG CTG is shorthand for CarTridGe As for how/why a revolver chambered for 22LR would be marked 32 Long, that's a really good question. Very odd.

    Price for Unique Powder?

If I didn't already have enough (which I do), I'd be a buyer at up to $35 a pound. I'd offer $200 for all 6 pounds and see what he says.

    Looking for a 52-2 slide.

I bought one that had a full rail and an OLD red-dot installed. The type that looks like a full-length scope. The front sight had been milled off, and a blanking plate installed in place of the rear site. Here's the thread on how I "fixed" it...

    Beretta tomcat 32ACP

Ok, that hasn't been my experience. Both my P32 and P3AT shoot minute of pie plate at 7 yards. But your experience is your experience. What works for me doesn't necessarily work for anyone/everyone else.

    Two Firefighters Murdered in Idaho

There is no doubt that in many cases, the old system of mental asylums was terrible. But we don't have to repeat those horrors. Returning to that system isn't the only alternative. We could - and should - implement a much better system to care for these folks whose mental illness makes them...

    Beretta tomcat 32ACP

I certainly can't argue with any of that. But FWIW, the standard P3AT is the exact same size and carries only 1 less round of the more potent 380 ACP ammo. I have both a P32 and a P3AT. For "light" carry - when concealment is the #1 consideration, I choose the P3AT with a magguts kit that gives...

I’m going to have to meet some of you guys on my travels…

Model29-26.5, anytime your travels bring you to eastern Washington, drop me a line - I'd love to get together with you.

Okay, I'm stumped; what was this thing?

I'm sure that is true for you, and for me, and for some of the rest of us. But how many of the unwashed and uneducated masses in our society can't tell the hay from sticks? So, they just swallow all the pablum they're being fed without question - without even a second thought. IMO that's true...

Okay, I'm stumped; what was this thing?

Yes there are. But there aren't very many of them, and they seem to be a rapidly-shrinking minority. I subscribe to multiple news feeds, and I continue to be amazed, every single day, at what passes for "journalism" these days. I remember when being a JOURNALIST meant knowing how to spell and...

Okay, I'm stumped; what was this thing?

Looks like either a helicopter or some kind of drone to me. Three lights at the back and one at the front. The blurry phone video makes it look like all of those lights are jet engine exhausts or something. As it flies toward the horizon, it appears to be "coming down" and slowing as it...

Really getting tired of other people's entitlement attitudes.

I see the OP is in Portland, Or. IIRC the unofficial (maybe official?) motto of that particular city is... KEEP PORTLAND WEIRD! 'nuff said ;)

    Beretta tomcat 32ACP

I have one of the improved versions with the thicker slide. Supposedly, much less prone to the cracking issue, but they still warn against ammo exceeding 130ft-lbs energy.

    S&W model 1950

Maybe. All the pictures of the gun show it wearing regular "football" targets. Though there a couple of pictures of Cokes in the ad, unless I missed something it doesn't say anywhere that the Cokes are included or that there are 2 sets of stocks included. But I could have missed something.
