I have an 1894 Cowboy that I really enjoy shooting. Sometimes loading it is a little difficult, but I think it's just me. I reload .357 cases to .38 Special velocities. I've never shot .38's in it, only very low powered and medium powered .357's. BTW, I'm a youngster at 64, LOL.

Getting back on topic I shoot 4.2 grains of 231 with a 125gr JHP and I find that load to be fairly mild in my 642. I don't like cleaning lead out of barrels that's why I use JHP's instead of lead bullets. I know my cost per round is more using JHP's but I don't have to deal with lead messing...

Richard, It looks just like your gun except for the gold anodized trigger, hammer, and cylinder release. The gun is an eye catcher. Too bad it's about a hundred overpriced. It's on consignment for $489.00. Way overpriced.
