I got a 6 inch bull barrel many years ago and paid too much at an auction for a 4 inch stainless MKII last year. The 4 inch sure shoots well. I bought several magazines as it saves time at the range. When glancing at the 4 inch, it does look a bit like a Luger.
My standard load has been 5.0 grains for many years. The recoil is starting to bother my wrist. I loaded 100 rds with 4.5 and they seemed to work ok and the brass didn't go far. How low can I go with the gun continuing to function properly?
I bought a large container of 700-X many years ago when a trap shooting couple got divorced and had a garage sale. It worked well in .45 acp and 45 Colt. Unique is my standard powder for .41, .44 magnum and .45 Colt. 7.0 and a cast bullet is most of what I shoot in those calibers.
I am going to my 60th in August. I graduated from college 56 years ago today. I was responsible for the 50th and we had a good turnout. 91 in the class and 27 are gone. Over 30 of the guys in the military with half in Vietnam. All came home, but some were damaged.
I have a Lyman 6932 caliper for a reloader in need. I was just given a new Lyman steel set, so no longer have a need for the plastic one. I have used it for many years without any problems. Indicate if you are interested and I will pick a winner Saturday morning.
After a great deal of thought and research, I have determined I was the cause of the mixup. I carry my .22 ammo in a Crown Royal bag which I keep in my range box. I rechecked the Federal box and there are only Federal cartridges in there. There must have been some Remington ammo in my bag and I...
I had both eyes done 15 or so years ago. We have a large and very highly respected eye clinic in town and my optometrist recommended I go there. I chose to spend the extra money for the multi-focal lenses and consider it money well spent. I am a much better shooter now that I can see the...
I was a teenager when they came out and remember wanting one, but didn't have the money. My dad had an old Remington bolt action that a neighbor lady had given him. I shot a ton of LR's through the Remington and it is in my safe.
Several years ago, my oldest and best friend had taken over...
221 years ago this week, the Corps of Discovery left St Louis to find a water way to the Pacific and to see what we had just bought from the French. Approximately 40 men traveled to the Pacific and back. If you have not read about their journey, I strongly recommend it.
I opened a Federal 550 round Value Pack and got a surprise. About half of the rounds are Remington Golden Bullets and the rest appear to be Federal. I have no idea as to how long I have had the box, but the sticker says I paid $9.00 for it.
