Got all the Smith 22lr’s out today

Decided to get all my Smith 22lr guns out today. Did some thorough cleaning as I’d had some chambering issues previously. From top to bottom: 17-3 8-3/8” 41 5” ported 18-4 4” 34-1 4” nickel 34-1 2” They’re an awful lot of fun. The two 34’s have really tight chambers so I’m getting a reamer.

    Found 2" model 10

Nice OP! I stumbled across a 2 inch model 10 a couple weeks ago. Mine’s a -9, the last before MIM. I’ve had a 2 inch 64 for years. I just like blued guns better……

    19-3 snub with KPD stamps

Yes, it’s an ink stamp. I’ll snatch it back out of the safe tomorrow and get a picture.

    19-3 snub with KPD stamps

Interesting. I’ve got several 19 and 66 snubs and haven’t seen this before. Thanks for the info.

    19-3 snub with KPD stamps

I’ve owned this 19-3 2.5” for at least a decade. Picked it up at my LGS with the box and docs. I never paid attention but it turns out it must have been a PD gun. The numbers matching PC magnas are stamped “KPD” on the back. I’m assuming that’s for “Kendallville Police Department” as that’s...

    624 no dash 3” loads

Nice piece! I’m lucky enough to have a 24-3 3” Lew Horton along with a 629 3”. Love “slightly spicy” 44 Special in both. I use Herco but I’m betting you could come up with an HP-38 duplicate of this load: 240gr Acme SWC 7.5gr Herco, 1.47” COAL, Win LP 8.8” Contender: 972fps 4” 624: 899fps...

    I’m weak…. Put a 2 inch 10-9 on layaway… ETA - It’s home!

I do have a set of smooth banana “presentation” Smith grips I could put on it….

S&W Pro Shop: Combat vs Master revolver package

I’ve got a 66-1 snub that has had the Combat Revolver package done. I purchased it that way. Trigger pull is very good and the satin finish is nice. I wouldn’t hesitate on a newer revolver but I wouldn’t do it to an older P&R gun. I’ve got another 66-1 snub that has had a Performance...

    67-1 is home

I lucked into a 67 no dash last year. It has become one of my favorite revolvers. You’ve got a nice one, and you’ll love it!

Why Model 27's are the coolest S&W's

Love 27’s. I am lucky enough to have two. Pre-27 3.5” that’s well loved and re-blued before I got it. Recently gone over by Frank Glenn: And a 5 inch 27-2 that’s pretty much pristine: They both get shot.

    I’m weak…. Put a 2 inch 10-9 on layaway… ETA - It’s home!

She’s home! Did a full tear down. Spotless under the side plate. Honestly after cleaning it up and taking the horrible rubber grips off it looks really good. It’s got holster wear on the crane, a little on the muzzle, and the ejector rod has some wear. It hardly looks fired at all! Have...

Looking to shoot a 44 Magnum

Wish I was closer to you. I’d gladly let you shoot 44 from wheel guns and lever. If you ended up liking 44 in an N frame, you’ll love it from a lever gun! ETA - my 240 grain SWC reloads clock in at 1060fps from a 4 inch. My chest doesn’t like “barn burners” anymore so I keep them midrange...

    I’m weak…. Put a 2 inch 10-9 on layaway… ETA - It’s home!

Looked up the serial. Comes back to 1995.

    I’m weak…. Put a 2 inch 10-9 on layaway… ETA - It’s home!

Now I have to find a proper set of factory grips for it........ I've got a couple spare sets of Ahrends boot grips that it'll probably wear most of the time.

    I’m weak…. Put a 2 inch 10-9 on layaway… ETA - It’s home!

Never fear Ralph. Mine get treated properly. I was more concerned about “Bubba”….. It needs a good cleaning and it will receive a full tear down using proper tools when it gets home.

    I’m weak…. Put a 2 inch 10-9 on layaway… ETA - It’s home!

Made some bad choices today and stopped into an LGS where I’ve found some jems. Found a nickel 34-1 in late February. Today I wander in and he’s got a 2 inch model 10-9 round butt. It has a little holster wear around the muzzle and crane. The recoil shield, forcing cone, and muzzle looked...

What Was The Earliest Round Butt N Frame?

I believe that’s correct, but I’m not positive.
