    Egg Prices...

Several factors are involved including egg imports, less exportation, and no longer mandated killing of entire bird populations. I just ate a couple with my lunch.

38 M&P, So Many Red Flags

I'm going to go with refinished. I agree that some of the edges just aren't sharp enough. Still, it looks to be a quality job and the overall look of the pistol is great. Congrats.

Triple Lock Revolvers Against Creditcard Debt

^^^This. If you haven't already, the cause of the debt has to be figured out first. If it's simply living beyond your means, cut out non-essentials. If you've already done that and still can't live on what you make, you might seek council from trusted friends, family, or church staff. Many...

    Tragedy near Kerrville

I may be wrong as well. I don't live in the area. A Kerr county official Judge Rob Kelly is quoted as saying the county does not have an early warning system. This article presents a timeline of warnings. The county used their facebook page to alert citizens. Perhaps the CodeRED system was also...

    Tragedy near Kerrville

He's not right and this statement should be retracted. Camp Mystic is a Christian girls camp that had little to no warning to evacuate approximately 750 young girls (finishing 2nd grade). The river rose 26 feet in 45 minutes. This was all in the early a.m. hours (1-2 a.m.). At Heart O' The...

Scored these grips at a yard sale

The J-frame smooth targets are selling for $90-$130 on EBay. I think Schutz5 may be referring to finger groove combat grips. These K's will bring more but still not FG combat prices. Variables are condition, grain, etc. Forget EBay, sell them here.

    USAF Baby Aircrewman

I've never seen one of these. USAF baby aircrewman. Is this price typical? After tax and shipping...around $9K. The Air Force ordered 605, how many survivors? https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1108954159

Funny stuff in my travels today.

The wife wanted to go a couple of counties over to the annual watermelon festival here in South Georgia. There wasn't much happening there...mostly vendors, trinkets, and unusual foods-kettle corn, gator on a stick, etc. A dozen or so vintage car guys there with their toys, a southern rock trio...

    My recently acquired Model 10

Nice pickup, OP. These were my father's. The K frame Model 10 has a good feel in the hand. The top pistol, a 4" standard barrel round butt, is U.S. issued and letters to 1969.

    Fourth model straight line target

I received the historical letter. The pistol shipped 11-7-1932 to Anderson's Sport Shop in Hackensack NJ. I googled the address, there's a hair parlor there now. The original price of the pistol was $23.67. I paid a little bit more than that for it last month. I was wondering if...

    Help with 29-1 Historical Letter

Here's a copy of the invoice. No handcuffs listed but it was 103 pistols. SWSC, do you have the exact date in 1962 of the article in the Miami Herald? I appreciate all the documentation. I'm going to copy this to a file to keep with the pistol.

    3 INCHES

This is an old thread, Moo Moo, but maybe it'll gain traction again. I only have on true 3", a 13-3. I have a couple of pre-27 3.5 ers. This 13-3 came to me with lady smith grips. Since I'm no lady, I went with the combats. ;)

    Help with 29-1 Historical Letter

Here's the pistol. I've posted it before, but you can't have a 29-1 thread without a picture. ;) I bought it in 2012 but just got around to lettering it.

    Help with 29-1 Historical Letter

Thanks for looking Charlie. If Bill's records show it as "Keep" on several occasions, I'll go with that. I thought perhaps it was a clerical error like the shipping log omission.

    Help with 29-1 Historical Letter

Thank you, Bill. Interesting also, the serial number (S229816) wasn't in the shipping logs. Mike found it doing an invoice search.

    Help with 29-1 Historical Letter

Guy, It's written exactly the same way on page two of the serial number list. No loop on the second "E" . I'm hoping someone else has had a pistol lettered to them and can confirm either way.

    Help with 29-1 Historical Letter

I got my letter yesterday from the S&W Historical Foundation on my 6.5" 29-1. It confirmed the model and configuration. It was sent to a distributor in Miami in 1962. I've sent the pertinent information to J. C. Elect. The typed invoice has the company name as S. G. Keep Wholesale while the...
