    Reciprocity Petition

I do not sign petitions that want my information and don't offer confidentiality. Anyone can get the list and have all the information that need to start a negative campaign on and individual. My SIL, a very tech savvy person, was able to extricate himself from the fallout but only after his...

    Sticky sideplate N-frame

Prying a side plate off is akin to running crystal goblets through the dishwasher. Possible it will be ok but the probability is too high for something to go wrong. I worked for a Master Gunsmith that was a true master on Smith and Wesson revolver. He never pried any side plate. He sometimes...

Ruger SP 101, will trigger smooth out?

Be patient, dry fire until you almost pass out. The trigger gets smooth but not much lighter. I have had mine since 1990 and really enjoy it. I also have some smiths.

    Model 64 questions opinion

Model 64 is a great revolver and that is a great price if it passes the inspect the proper inspection. I don't like DAO but from a Concealed Carry standpoint, that is definitely a plus for your own defense in case you have to use it.

    More desireable: M27 or M28?

Buy a 27 for future value and let in reside in the safe. Buy a 28 for all other uses plus it will grow in value but at a slower and lower rate of growth.

    Good God Almighty....the finger grooves.

Quote "What's with the finger grooves? You can hardly find a grip that doesn't have them. I hate them." You are in great company; Jerry Miculek will not use them. Look at the JM grip, no finger grooves. According to Jerry, face to face conversation, without finger grooves, you can adjust to...

Going to miss my old friend

Gladly give your daughter the gun; it is replaceable, she isn't. My Ruger Mark I went with her when she bought a condo. I lost her at age 42 to cancer; my son-in-law offered it back to me. I declined the offer due to the emotions that hit each time I looked at the firearm. Again, the...

I always wanted to know what an engraved Smith was worth

The value of anything is established when neither the buyer nor the seller are under duress. In this case, I think the buyer was under a little duress but was greatly rewarded for his efforts. The revolvers are beyond my ability to use the english language.
