New 500 - Hammer won't cock with cylinder open

Well, congrats on the ownership of a sweet revolver then! Most of the time we cut our teeth on K frame .38’s and the like. They are all designed the same in that you cannot cock them with the cylinders open.

Where to find Miami Classic for 4506?

I want to pair my 4506 up with a Miami Classic and I just assumed Galco was still making them. A check of their site however proved otherwise. Is anyone else making this rig for the 4506? Thank you

    Lost in the engraving

Side plate leaf pattern is different, but I do agree the same engraver did both guns. Beautiful work!

Keep or Sell Brand New 1980s SW 357/686 "NO Dash" Revolver

Welcome aboard! Your username should be “time capsule”! As others have said your 686 is not ideal for defense, but it’s a wonderful longer range/hunting revolver.

    The 4506 for CCW

Very good read DanRod! I've concealed large, medium and small framed autos and revolvers for all but 5% of the time over the past 30 years, so I certainly like and approve of your style! One time I tried to go super sneaky on an intel op with a J frame. I thought it was cool until my partner...

    640 vs 640-1

I think the -1 was the version that allowed the Centennial to go to .357.

    J frame as LE backup

I have been on the job since 1990. In 1997 I bought a 640-1 and it became my everyday secondary weapon. The 23 year old 640-1 still goes with me to work everyday. The "kids" I hire and work with do not seem to appreciate a J frame, but I have exposed a few of them to the world of service...

    Thoughts on Engraved Revolvers

1- Works of art 2- Engravers are doing the best they can do with what they now have, IL's may never be all that collectible but at least some will look better than others 3- 40 years ago a 29-2 was a hard to obtain model, but who knew it would become such a classic! With so many autos on the...

    Charlie Daniels- Uneasy Rider

In the wake of my mourning of good ol' boy Charlie Daniels I've been binge listening to his stuff today. Anybody else think Uneasy Rider sounds like Johnny's One Piece at a Time or A Boy Named Sue? Or maybe its vise versa, anyways- Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes? George and I would like to know...

    41 Mag Recommends

Same for me. I do wish it had just a bit more pop, but it is a comfortable step down from the full power factory loads for a nice range day.
