Not too far from my house, back in 1864, a POW train en route to Elmira collided with a coal train in Shohola PA. There were fatalities of the Confederate POW's as well as the Union guards.
A bit of local PA lore, mostly now forgotten.
I try to avoid all wildlife. Turtles, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks etc because I like seeing them.
Deer, bear, turkey because they will damage the car.
I saw a turtle trying to cross I-84 near Danbury CT.
I missed him, the 3 cars behind me didn't.
What about it? It has approx. the same muzzle velocity and ft/lbs of force as a .357 Mag, when fired from an 18" barrel.
It's put enough men in the grave, I'm sure it would do OK on white tail.
Can't hunt with a M1 Carbine on PA, but nothing prohibiting using the cartridge. Ruger did offer...
I read, mostly WWII history.
I enjoy watching the TV shows of my childhood, Emergency being a favorite.
I also love the Twilight Zone. Rod Serling was a genius, and you see a lot of future stars in those shows.
Old movies too. I agree the new stuff is woke garbage, and to remake a classic...
the last thing I worry about when we roll up to a scene is getting ambushed.
I have my SCBA and bunker gear on, Halligan bar in hand. ready to go,
The AR and body armor/kevlar helmet are still at home. For a different scene.
See my sign line.
Nope, I will NEVER be management again.
Throw me a set of blueprints and let me be.
I'll buy your stuff, you tell your people how to put it together.
"As The World Turns" got old very quickly.
The weather here in NEPA has been bizarro world. No rain in April with lots of brush fires (fun times, not!) May made up for the lack of rain with a vengance. June has had record high and record low temps.I think I mowed 3, maybe 4 times this year? Parts of the lawn just don't seem to dry...
