    Pre 10 nickel 38 S&W

How about some pictures, rick4521? Here's my nickel .38 Spl. M&P, s/n C117638 (ca. 1950). I got a great deal on it a few years ago at my lgs...with the MOP stocks. I call it my "Nawlins Pimp Special". But it's a good shooter and accurate with that 6" bbl.! Enjoy!

    Safe Organization

I only read a couple of Posts that referred to Liberty safes...and my Liberty has one of those S&G dial combination locks. IMHO, great safe for the $.

    My “new” Model 66-2 4”

That's a nice 66-2, and a lot of them were manufactured and stamped for various LE departments across the country. The 66-2 was introduced in 1982 and continued until 1986 with the release of the 66-3. Like you, I couldn't find much info in the SCSW 5th Ed. except that your "ACT 2xxx"...

Just Purchased The S&W Model 19 Carry Comp Moss Limited Edition

Great choice for an OWB leather holster. I really like 1791 Gun Leather, and I have this one for my 3" Model 686-6 Plus. The leather is thick and a little stiff, but extremely well made and durable. And it's tough to beat the price for the fit and quality. Enjoy!

Picked Up A Couple Of Nice Ones Today

Very, very nice! You really scored with those two beauties...two of my favorite S&W revolvers!

New to me gun. Need help.

Welcome to the Forum! Those are both nice revolvers and fairly popular. When you do decide to sell, as you know you can Post them here on the Forum. You will most likely get a fair price, and you can trust the members with the sale. Good luck!

Fallout from the SIG P320 Uncommanded Discharges

Just got word from my local gun club that until further notice SIG P320 handguns (all variants) are banned from the property. This includes use and/or possession. That means that I can no longer compete in my Club's USPSA Limited or Action Steel events with my SIG P320 X5 Legion. That was my...

    New Gun Day!

I must admit that I was not familiar with World Association pistol matches until you Posted about your nice 686-5 and I did some online searches. They sound like some pretty cool matches. Good luck, and enjoy!

    Safe Organization

I have a Liberty Centurion 24-gun safe that has over 30 revolvers, a dozen pistols, a dozen long guns, dozens of magazines and speed loaders, and even a small document/valuables safe. I increased my storage capacity using Versatile (SnapSafe) wire pistol racks (4-gun and 6--gun), Gun Storage...

Just Purchased The S&W Model 19 Carry Comp Moss Limited Edition

Very nice! That would make a great CCW revolver with some mild .357 or punchie .38 Spl.

    Triple lock opinion

Welcome to the Forum! That's one of my grail revolvers...although not for $4K! If I could find a nice one for under $2K, I'd be all over it but I never see any for sale around here. It would have to be 99% in the original box to bring $4k...that's almost getting into Reg Mag pricing.

    S&W Pre-29 Help

I really like your 4-screw .44 Magnum, which most likely shipped 1957-58. The previous owner had it modified to suit his needs, and the work looks like it was done very well. I think that your revolver is definitely unique and stands out from the rest. Although serious collectors and purists...

5 Screw Highway Patrolman, hope I did alright on the deal.

You did good! Although 4" are a little more popular and usually bring higher prices, your 6" is a nice one. I only have one first year 5-screw (4"), but I do have a couple of 6" Model 28-2s. The stocks are nice, too. Just be sure that the spring strain screw is screwed all the way in, and...

    PDW's

Let's agree to disagree. I have a SIG MPX (9mm) that is an outstanding and compact SD firearm for home or vehicle.. I also built a .300 BLK pistol (also 8" bbl) with Silencerco Omega 300 suppressor. Too each their own!

IDPA has just banned Sig P320 pistols from competition

I wonder if this reaction affects my P320 X5 Legion ( no thumb safety)? I use this excellent pistol for USPSA Limited and Action Steel.

    Stock Maintenance

If the stocks need a good cleaning, I start with some Murphy's Oil Soap wood cleaner and soft brush. I then dry and apply Renaissance Wax. I use RenWax on all my metal and wood.

Took the 1917 to the range today.

Very good! My Model of 1917 (ca. 1918) is also a great shooter and usually goes to the range with my 25-2. Do you also load for the M1 or just shoot factory Garand ammo?

    Streetsweeper

That's a nice package, and I've had a few pump shotguns (Mossberg and Remington) over the years. I recently decided to go semi-auto for home defense and vehicle travel. Although I looked at Mossbergs when I was shopping for a semi-auto shotgun, I ended up choosing this Beretta A300 Ultima...

What gun are you on the lookout for?

I guess that I'm kind of in the same boat...I wouldn't mind finding a nice Reg. Magnum or Triplelock but I'm afraid that I could never justify to myself paying the price.

    Aimpoints or Red Dots

Aimpoint, Leupold, EOTech, and Trijicon are rough, tough police and military-grade RDOs and they're usually very expensive. I don't think you need anything like that for your Ruger .22 LR if you're just plinking or shooting varmints up close. I have several Holosun RDOs and they're great...
