Do You Pocket Carry Your J Frame Daily?

I had a 971 2” in 357. What a nice gun. Took my CCW Shooting Test with it. Decided to clear out a few guns years ago and sold it. I miss that gun.

Do You Pocket Carry Your J Frame Daily?

My answer is about the same as my first answer a few years ago. The 442, bobbed 37, and 638 are lightweights and one of them is always in my pocket. The 3” 36 or the Stainless 60 are waistband guns. Often I carry 2 J’s. Depending where I go, I’ll only carry one J and add a high cap Nine in the...

    J Frame Grips

Pachmayr Compacts are my favorite. I do have one set of Houge Tamers. My hands are old and beat so I need cushion. They fit all my pants pockets.

.22 wheel gun with a decent da trigger?

I put dummy rounds in and dry fire 2000 times. It makes a noticeable difference. I never had to change springs. Worked on all my J-Frames and worked very good on my 942 Taurus

    Low capacity but probably enough

    2 rounds, 5 rounds, 10 rounds Etc. It’s enough, until it isn’t. I probably won’t need any. I hope.

    Pocket Wars - 637 vs 36

I spend 4 months of the winter in Florida. I pocket carried a 638 and carried a 442 or Glock 26 in the waist. I didn’t want to carry my 36 because of sweating and humidity. I just picked up a stainless model 60 so probably next winter I’ll carry the 638 in pocket again 60 in the waist or Glock...

    Model 60 NY-1 Docs.....

I recently picked up a used 2” 60. While cleaning it I found 2 stickers under the grip. I can’t remember if I was a number or letter but one was green and the other white with red circle, I think. It’s been a while. What got my attention was in the yoke next to the 60 model number the -2 seems...

    My Old School EDC

I have pocket carried a J-Frame since 2004. It’s always in my off hand pocket and I’ve practiced drawing and shooting from that pocket. I carry a second J-Frame in the appendix area. A gun is always accessible for at least one hand. I use speed strips for reloads. Once in a while the appendix...

    Which one should I sell/keep?

I’m thinking I’d have to keep them both because I hate making decisions and couldn’t give one of them up

    Had enough? S&W Airweights

I shoot my airweights, but I have to have rubber grips to cushion the blow. Much rather practice with my 3 inch 36. It’s heavier. I still have rubber grips on it and it’s much more enjoyable to shoot.

    Heavy Clothing Stops .38 Wadcutter!

I carry 135 Speer Gold Dot 38+P in my Snubs. The only reason is Massad Ayoob stated in an article that The NYPD were impressed the way it stopped bad guys from 2” and 4” revolvers and approved it for backup and off duty carry. I figured that’s street results and better than jello or water tests.

Let's talk J frame pocket holsters

I’ve used the cheaper Uncle Mike’s number four pocket holster for 30 years. They just last a long time conform to the gun fit all my pockets. that’s what I started with and haven’t found any reason to change.

    New Model 65

I think if you go to your photos, there is a way to edit them. I know I’ve done it in the past, but I can never remember exactly how to do it since I am technically challenged and old.
