    J Frame Carry-What am I missing?

This reminds me of my younger days, working in the gun shops, carrying three guns or more. I had to take to wearing cargo jeans just to fit everything I carried.

    J Frame Carry-What am I missing?

    I pocket carry a J-Frame and belt carry a 9mm every day. J-Frames we’re always my favorite. I used to carry a pair of them. After inheriting a couple 9mm’s I dropped a J-Frame and added a 9mm.

    New to me model 438 38spec +P

    I inherited a 638. I wished it was the 438 because I like the Black J-Frames better. I always say you can’t pick a wrong J-Frame.

Added a spare magazine to my rig

When I only carried J-Frames it was Two. I also carried reloads for both. Things seem to be getting crazier so I carry a semi auto and a J-Frame now. Reloads for both. Sometimes several reloads.

    637 purchase

I pocket carry them. When I buy pants, I put holstered gun in the pocket and make sure I can grip and draw the gun. Wrangler Cargo Shorts and Jeans mostly until recently added some Duluth Cargo Shorts. I can walk around with gun in hand in the pocket. Works well for parking lots.

Regular 37 for me. Dry fired until action was smooth. Grind off the hammer. It shoots sweet.

Anyone want to share some love for the M&P 1.0?

I inherited this Shield 9. It came with Two 8 round mags and One 7. It carries easy and shoots just fine. When my back gets tired of carrying my XDM 3.8 Springfield, the Shield gets the call.

    Derringer for Carry?

J-Frames for my pocket and 9mm’s for the waist. I’ve played with small derringers and NAA minis. They were kind of fun at the Range but, I sold them. I know the odds are I will never need my carry guns but, if I ever did, I don’t want any size derringer and I don’t want the small NAA.

    One hand dump

My old hands are too screwed up stiff and sore. I could never do it one handed without pushing the latch and then banging the gun against something to knock it open

Self defense at the gas station

I keep my back to the car but, close to the hose. My hand is in my pocket holding my gun if I feel the need. I just stay aware of what’s happening around me. I like the idea of pointing the gas hose at someone threatening/approaching. If you pull a gun you should report it. Someone could...

POCKET CARRY SUGGESTIONS (CLOTHING & HOLSTER BRANDS) FOR EDC - CCW

I have mostly used Uncle Mikes Pocket Holsters since 2004. I always carried a lightweight J Frame in my offhand pocket and various larger guns in the waist. These days with old age aches and pains, I’ve put my Shield 9 in my pocket at times. Actually it depends if I’m going out or just hanging...

Should chamber be cleared when putting gun away for the night?

I read a article years ago about a shop owner that was so rattled when robed that he forgot to flip off the safety on his semi auto and got shot. I don’t want to think about having to chamber a round.
