Should I get new grips on Model 36?

Thanks. That is good to know. You've convinced me to try some different ammo before changing grips...

Should I get new grips on Model 36?

I just ordered Pachmayr gripper grips. Many people on the Amazon reviews said that the Compacs don't work with speedloaders, and they said that the grippers do. And I thought Pachmayr would be easier to install than Hogue, because for Hogue it seems you have to punch out that pin at the bottom...

Should I get new grips on Model 36?

Yes it would seem that having a grip high like that would give a better hold on the gun, as opposed to just holding onto a handle that is sticking out of it at a 90% angle.

Should I get new grips on Model 36?

Everyone I hear from says that I should replace the factory grips on my new model 36 (no dash). Is replacing those little wooden grips with, say, a rubber Hogue or Pachmayr grip really going to make a huge difference in how well I can shoot it? It's true that I haven't yet figured out how to...

OK to buy from non-authorized dealer?

That is interesting. Do you have any idea what specific items the distributors are trying to cram down your friend's throat that he doesn't really want to stock?

OK to buy from non-authorized dealer?

There are two things I'm wondering about: First, what happened to all the Smith & Wesson dealers? It used to be that when I go to the "dealer locator" on the S&W website, every gun store in my area was listed. Now there are just two in a 50 mile radius. What happened there? Did this change...

    Cleaning a Model 19 - brush won't fit

Yes!!! You are absolutely right. The brush says ".38" on it, so now I know it's the right size for my 357 Magnum. I'm starting to think maybe I should get over my fear of scratching something and cram it in there more forcefully???

    Cleaning a Model 19 - brush won't fit

That is a good suggestion. Worst thing that can happen is I have two brushes or two cleaning kits, which will all get used anyway.

    Cleaning a Model 19 - brush won't fit

Hi. I was trying to clean my new Model 19 (.357 Magnum) according to a video I found on youtube, and it says that bronze brush is supposed to go into the chambers and into the barrel. But it won't fit. The cleaning kit I have is for 9mm, which I understand also works for .38 special and Magnum...

    New person from New Jersey

Hi. I live in New Jersey and I don't currently have a gun because I'm still waiting for my firearm permit to come through... and waiting... and waiting... That's the system in New Jersey. I briefly owned a Model 10 revolver but my girlfriend got upset about that so I ended up selling it. But I'm...
