Polish on a bead blasted 625???

That is a very desirable gun. I'd leave it as is, or sell it before ruining it. Once you Bubba away the beadblast finish enough to make it shiny the laser engraving will be gone....and posting pictures of a highly Bubba'ed 5" 625 will get you tarred and feathered. If you want to remove any...

The truth about the M&P 10mm..

Yep..S&W screwed around while nearly every other gun maker was making 10s. I got tired of waiting on em' and bought the XDm Elite. It has been perfect for me as well. The grip is much more comfortable than the G29 I carried for years (and sold shortly after getting the XDm). I love it, and so...

    M 625- 45ACP roll call

625-3...the last S&W I'd ever sell. Saw a 3" w. box at a recent gun show marked at $1K. Not a bad price these days.

    627 5” Holster help

Check out the Desantis website. They have several styles available, including a thumb break…they make the holster shown on the S&W site https://s3.amazonaws.com/mgm-content/sites/armslist/uploads/posts/2013/02/11/1045898_01_new_s_w_627_5_pc_holster_640.jpg

Did I do Good? Used 642-1

Great choice!!…and $300 Is a bargain. I occasionally carry one that I paid $400 for at a LGS over 5 Years ago. Sold the heavier 640 not long after.

    4506-1 Rebuild/Parts Too Nice

This scuffed up pawn shop find 1006 was cleaned up with Lucas CLP and a grey Scotchbrite. Quicker, cheaper, and easier than sending it off to be bead blasted...for me anyway.

I guess the 40 is not dead

Exactly why i load my own for the 610-2. In reality, the modern boxed 10mm is neutered when compared to the good old stuff

I guess the 40 is not dead

Yep...and the 10mm-recoil-fearing dainty wrist crowd that the feds hired is why .40 was created. Not complaining...I'm a big fan of .40 (but like 10mm much better)

4516-1 how do you carry it??

Many people own a 4516, and 3rd Gen owners are always in search of quality holsters. In reality, the best/most informative 3rd Gen threads are from the past. Don't let the date of the posts convince you that the info provided is outdated and worthless.

    Last of flying F-4 Phantoms

Your dad likely worked alongside my mom's uncle. He worked in St. Louis starting in the 60's, ended up being transferred out west, if i remember correctly. Coincidentally, his father lived close to the Illinois river in a town named Meredosia. During the 70's and 80's the family and i spent many...

Help this Glock-guy see the light; questions I could not find the answer to online.

You may also want to consider the Springfield XD line. I carried a Glock 29 for years...you know, the many years it had taken wishy-washy S&W to produce a 10mm M&P...so I got tired of waiting on them and purchased the 10mm XD Elite 3.8". Exact same size as a G29, with a far more comfortable...

Update > lettered. 1994 Performance Center SD-40 "Stocking Dealer"

Had the SD lettered, primarily because i wanted to know where it was shipped to, but also to confirm the production number, and get a shipping date. The research so far only shows that the dealer is no longer in business. If anyone has any dealer info to share that would be much appreciated.
