I have one! Well it's a 44 Magnum but it get's 44 Specials out of it most of the time. It started life as a "S" prefix Model 58. Now has a Model 29 cylinder and a 4 inch 38/44 Heavy Duty barrel reamed to 44 cal. It's a great shooter and my 9 yr old loves it with 200gr LRN 44 Special loads.

Good looking early rifle that was re-worked for WW2. I would pick up some 100gr Speer Plinkers and load them with 10gr's of Unique. No way that gun will come apart with that load and a lot of fun to shoot. Just my .02.
