    Best place to live?

You forgot to mention the scarcity of trees and water and the constant winds. ;)

    Are you a "gun slut"?

I shoot both revolvers and pistols and every couple of months or so I'll rotate whatever handgun I have out for "just in case" and to take along when traveling for something else in my safe; and usually I'll also go from revolver to pistol or vice versus. But when I do this I'll go to the range...

The unavoidable gun fight. Are you confident with your handgun choice?

It's a barrel and compensator combination made by Radian Weapons for Glock, Sig Sauer, and Shadow pistols but none of the "old" pistols that I shoot. Along with their recoil rod and tunable spring set they made an amazing difference in felt recoil, muzzle jump, and over all control when shooting...

The unavoidable gun fight. Are you confident with your handgun choice?

We put a Radian Ramjet and Afterburner combo in the grandson's custom Glock and the difference in felt recoil and muzzle jump was amazing.

The unavoidable gun fight. Are you confident with your handgun choice?

Laws and regulation vary greatly from state to state in the US. I'm in Wyoming and folks here can carry openly or concealed without a permit as long as they can legally own firearms but next door in Colorado there are a plethora of different state, county, and municipality laws, regulations...

    Happy Independence Day!

I was at a motorcycle party in Belgium and realized that it was the 4th of July so I mentioned this to one of my friends who happened to be English and said, "I guess you folks don't celebrate the 4th do you?" He replied, "No, but maybe we should."

Found a nice 35-1 Date help? Light strikes solved!

Instead of a drill I used a tap holder to hold the drill bit. It's been about a year and several 1000 rounds of reloads since I did the mod and I haven't had a light strike since.

Found a nice 35-1 Date help? Light strikes solved!

My .357 mag model 586-8 has a floating firing pin and when I first got it was experiencing light strikes. Checked everything and couldn't find a source for the problem so ordered a longer firing pin from TK Customs in case the original pin, which I couldn't find a spec for, was under length...

    Movie firearm question

Alas Babylon is a great book; read it first as kid and many times since. I finally found a hardcover copy to add to my library. Also have a hardcover copy of Lucifer's Hammer which is another great apocalyptic book. I remember watching Panic In Year Zero on the one of the TV programs that use to...

Who makes the best 148gr. HBWC, Berry's, Zero, Hornady, Speer, ETC

Sounds like you're dealing with some rough physical challenges but keep working on them. Nothing irritates doctors more than a patient that improves beyond what they said was possible. ;) Not HB but I've been using 148gr poly coated button nose and full wadcutters from Acme for years. They load...

What happened here? Was it the pistol or the ammo manufacturer?

Why would you add to the crud and garbage being tossed into the environment?

What happened here? Was it the pistol or the ammo manufacturer?

Did you read the poster's initial statement where he said that he was concerned about disposing of a complete round? With a cheap bullet puller the round could be easily disassembled, the primer punched out or swamped with oil, water, or something else to make it inoperable - same with the...

What happened here? Was it the pistol or the ammo manufacturer?

If it was factory ammo I'm thinking it was defect that got by the inspection steps. Buy a bullet puller. Inertia style ones with several different size collars are relatively cheap and work fine.

The unavoidable gun fight. Are you confident with your handgun choice?

Decades ago, long before it became Californicated, a similar situation happened in Colorado. A guy walked into a gun shop and pulled a pistol on the clerk with the intention of robbing the place. Unfortunately for him the clerk and the owner, who was also behind the counter, and several...

    weighing reloads

A friend of mine that shoots long distance matched with rifles and revolver goes to such extremes with his reloads but I just check every 10th powder load as it goes through my Dillon Square deal press to make sure it's staying within my desired load spec.

    Pre Mixed 2 Cycle Fuel

When I lived in Belgium and the Netherlands 20+ years ago I noticed that many of their gas stations had separate pumps for premixed 2 stroke fuel for the many 2 stroke scooters and small motorcycles that folks rode over there.

How many who went to a red dot increase their HG accuracy by a minimum of 50% or more first shots

Why? My handguns and other firearms may not have all the latest and greatest gizmos being marketed but I can hit what I aim at with them.

    Temptation

A guy in Laramie has a Remington 760 chambered in 270 Winchester for sale. I don't "need" another large caliber rifle but the pump action 760s are sweet rifles and 270 Win is a great caliber. Decisions, decisions..........
