    Would you draw your weapon?

You answered your own question with that statement. The "escaped prisoner" has not harmed anyone in that store. So, based on your statement, no...you can't use deadly force.

    Would you draw your weapon?

I disagree. To "put away" means (IMHO) to store it for non-instant access or for permanent storage, either short (overnight) or long term. Therefore, #4 is—indeed— appropriate for those of us that either (have no children at home, live only with responsible gun owners, live alone, etc).

    Locking Block Spring

On the contrary, it is somewhat common. Many of us that have experienced this simply get it fixed and move on without chatting about it all the time. I didn't want to wait for weeks while S&W fixed it, so I brought it in to my local gunsmith and they have seen this issue before. It's a quick...

semi auto...is it safe if dropped?

At least in California it is safe if dropped. That is one of the (multiple) requirements of pistols for sale in this state—to be safe from droppage.

    cautiously answering a door knock

^^ what he said! I would go nuts living like that. I don't leave all my doors open, etc.; but I also don't cower when someone's at the door. "Situation awareness" I get, paranoia, I don't.

The time elapsed between placing the order and receiving shipping info doesn't mean a thing. I've seen days go by between receiving shipping info and when the package actually gets to the post office/UPS, to be actually shipped.

    m&p Slide wont come off

I, too, had the same problem of not being able to remove my slide on my S9. I also had the same issue as shown in the above photo from @Printrep. In fact, that looked just like mine. Instead of sending it to S&W and waiting a couple of weeks (or more), I went to my local gunsmith and I picked...
