The 6.5 inch five screw on the left.........or maybe the 4 inch five screw on the right. It would be very difficult to make a decision but I lean towards the 6.5 inch. Both are like new and possibly unfired since leaving the factory. My reason for choosing a 44 Magnum five screw is collector...
Glad you are happy with your MK4. The Volquartsen parts are expensive but I believe they elevate this pistols performance. Especially the trigger upgrade.
Since this is a model 57 thread, do any other model 57 fans wish S&W had made these early 6" revolvers with a 6.5" barrel?

Really nice collection Gun Relics. Thank you for showing them to us.

I hope to some day find a blued 4 inch...

She has other styles for Ruger MK II & III rimfires, but the simple fully checkered stocks suit the purpose I use this...
My RuQuartsen has many of the same parts as yours and is one of my favorites for just knocking about the woods. I ordered a set of fully checkered stocks from Esmeralda just to dress it up a little. They are supposed to arrive today.
I hope you enjoy your new pistol.
Pete, if the stove pipe issues keep reoccurring after a break-in period on your pistol, I would recommend purchasing an Volquartsen Exact Edge extractor.
The cost is minimal and this part took care of stove pipe issues on my MK III. You will be amazed at the quality of the part compared to the...
