How did I miss these little knives

I've had hundreds of pocket knives and honestly have never need more than one blade. Multi blades just add thickness and weight IMO. I have been carrying this Victorinox Sentinel for a couple years now and I think its about perfect. Super quality, cuts like crazy, big enough for most...

    Trigger Stop

OK, dumb question time. What and where is the trigger stop I see mentioned concerning some models? I am familiar with those on shotguns but I don't see anything similar on Smiths. Is it internal? Thanks in advance

Smith&Wesson K Frame Serial Numbers by year of manufacture

Thank you for that, I suppose I had two questions there. So in another way, using your first example, in a 12 month period did they produce 7000 revolvers in that series regardless of sales? My big question is are/were there unused serial numbers?

    3" J-frame holster (60/63)?

Id look on eBay for a nice vintage belt holster from a model 30-1 . They were offered with a 3-inch barrel and were police guns for some time, so there were nice belt holsters made.

X marks the spot: Tesla driver leaks his location after alleged hit and run

Not the battery, but the inverter and other components in some vehicles. Batteries have are more likely to have heating systems in EVs. Cold weather decreases battery performance dramatically.

    Unrelieved K Targets

I swear I tried to answer this by searching but it seems there is more about N frame stocks here. These K targets arrived today, and look ripping. I may have to buy a gun for these. Any way to estimate a close date? Thanks

    Interesting S&W 38 special.

As far as blue gun getting nickel, a much later example, this 586 was destined to be nickel but switched to blue.

Smith&Wesson K Frame Serial Numbers by year of manufacture

I have a question and I'll risk it getting buried in this big thread: So if a year shows a range of serial numbers, do they all get used that year? Will they start the next block of numbers with the new year?

    HomeSmith Trainwreck: Door Stop

Thanks so much. I got impatient and put a pair in overnight. Not a lot happened in the first 2-3 hours, brushing occasionally. By the morning the LT was darker but each diamond still has finish on most facets. I've been chasing the checking and that has removed a lot but spots remain. Im not...

How long does lacquer thinner need to work? Soak it for days, hours, minutes?

    HomeSmith Trainwreck: Door Stop

You are doing great work, and it reminds me of the kind of things I do almost eerily. But, am I correct that no chemical agent was used for stripping the old finish? I have some diamond period grips that acetone hasn't cleaned very well, especially in the checking. I am wondering about...

Lewis Police Special for I Frame?

Thank you all, yes I think this is for a .32 Hand Ejector or Regulation Police with a 3-inch barrel. I see some had 3 1/4 inch, Im sure this holster would accommodate those as well. Hard to imagine back to a time when a police officer would have felt sufficient with a .32 S&W Long and maybe 6...

New to me 681 no dash

That gun is on my list. I love my blue 586, but that big old slab of nickeled steel as only Smith can do just does it.

Lewis Police Special for I Frame?

Hello all: I took a chance on this holster and its too small for even a Smith J frame. Im thinking Model 30 or something else. I don't know what Colt had with a small cylinder like this back then. Does anyone know what the Lewis codes are?

Smooth Trigger on 2-inch Model 15?

Looking at my 3rd edition Standard Catalog I see the notation that a .312 smooth combat trigger was standard on the 2-inch guns but most I see have the serrated trigger. Is the book correct or am I missing something?
