    SW18-Does the story brings premium?

If you pay $1100 for the revolver, you'll be paying about $350 for the "story". Unless the guy was Curtis LeMay, I'd move on.

    Question about the Governor

What you are actually looking for is someone who is fool enough to do this and dumb enough to admit it.

How does this ammo shortage work?

Exactly! Irrational panic. People worry about being caught in some dystopian social and political environment so they need 5000 rounds of ammo, 480 rolls of TP, and a milk cow.

Why didn't the 4006 (and family) ever get the Hollywood Treatment?

Most movie goers wouldn't know or care about the difference between a 4516 and a 4013. I'm a bit of an aviation buff as well and I can't tell you how many time I've rolled my eyes at a movie screen after seeing someone board a DC-10 and then seeing a 737 taking off. Most people don't care...

Small Pistol Primers. The New Drought

Supply chains are not designed to handle irrational demand.

    Rubber buckshot

In the state where I live, a firearm is considered deadly force, regardless of what it is loaded with. That means that if you use non-lethal ammo, you still need to be justified in using deadly force. Rubber buckshot is for keeping bears out of your trashcan, not personal defense.

BG380 - to chamber a round or not to chamber a round, that is the question

If you know your weapon, understand how to use it, and practice, you will have the self-confidence to carry any way you see fit.

    Three inches of fury

I have one of these also. It was a special run around 1990. Kinda rare. I sure would like to know how many they made.

Question for CO folks re: magazine limits

Don't take this to the bank yet, but I have heard that rural LE in Colorado is mostly reluctant to enforce these statutes. Many county sheriffs in CO strongly objected to these laws when they were passed.

You okay with charging what market will bear for ammo?

I'm OK with them charging it. I'm not OK with me paying it. I'm one of those guys who reloads and buys ammo when supplies are plentiful. Off to the range...

38 smith and wesson CTG..Elliot Ness

The "Untouchables" lore surrounding this gun would be difficult to prove. It is an interesting old piece though and I'm sure it would have a story to tell.

    St Louis couple charged

I couldn't agree more. In my state, they would have been charged with aggravated assault.

    Model 19-3...for $300...How'd I do?

I got a 1966 vintage S&W Model 10 with a 5" barrel, easily 95%, from what could have been the same guy. It was a family heirloom that was in his possession and he wanted a Glock. I gave him a Glock, he gave me the revolver. I guess everybody was happy. I sure was! I can replace that Glock...

    Ammo shortage?

There is no shortage of ammo. There is only an over abundance of people who procrastinate and think(?) they need ammo because everybody else is doing exactly the same thing. Buy ammo when you can, then you're good to go when nonsense like this happens.

Hi-Power and CZ-75D offered; can afford one

Given your choice, I'd go with the CZ. If the HP were in 9mm, I'd say get it. I would never get a HP chambered in .40.

    Would you buy a 6-shot .38 J-frame

You might need to slow down a bit on this. Some just don't seem to grasp the concept.

    629 which one ?

I have a friend who has the 5 inch "Classic". He loves it. I don't think I would go on a hog hunt with a 3" anything.

Nevada No Longer Honors NE, NC and OR.

Not sure what goes on up there in Nevada. They dropped the AZ permit for about a year and then reinstated it. No changes on the AZ end that I could tell. They just did it.

I'm old and apparently a wuss too.

That 640 was originally chambered in .38 Special only when it first came out. Give Smith & Wesson time. They'll figure out a way to stuff 3 .44 Magnums in that J frame.
