The fact that it's an airweight with all the issues that can come from alloy frames causes me to be "gun shy" of this one. I think I'm going to pass even at that price.

the slack is apparent when the cylinder is open. And it's excessive. Lots more than normal. I'd say it probably moves 1/4". And it hits the front of the frame unless you pull it backwards. When closed, the lockup seems tight and normal.

Deal of the year!! What a score!!!

A couple of years ago, I stumbled upon a really nice pre 36 Chief 3" at a local pawn shop. I paid $550 for it. I didn't think it was a great buy, but considering what it was and it's condition, I felt it was probably a good investment. Thanks to resources on this forum, I've dated it to 1955...

I picked up a 37 a few years back in pristine condition. serial # 707510, I think from 1966. Don't think it's ever been shot. I've never shot it so I can't attest to it's performance. I would imagine it's probably got a little more kick than a 36. I paid $325 for mine. $275 for a J frame...

I'm looking to sell a Highway Patrolman that has been nickel plated. It has what I believe are the original diamond grips which have a few nicks in them. The finish on the gun is in great condition. I can't find any info on what the value would be. Any ideas are much appreciated.

It's appealing to me but not sure how appealing. I'd be more interested from a collectable point of view. That and lanyard ring. It's cool. Sounds like the market was pretty flooded with these guns.

Does anyone have an idea what one of the RHKP 10-9's are worth in today's market? I found one that looks virtually new for $450. I'm thinking that's probably retail. Anyone have any thoughts?

I have a model 60 (stainless). It's not dirty but it obviously has spent it's life getting banged around in a purse or under a car seat, etc. It is dull from a lot of scratches. What product would work best in polishing the finish and hopefully getting some of the scratches out? Thanks

Thanks for the replay JH...I went ahead and pulled the trigger on it...$380 seemed like a decent buy on this gun without the laser grips. But with the laser grips, I think I might have done well.

they are Magna grips. Everything looks right on them. I would have never believed they weren't original if someone had said they weren't. But I also expected them to be stamped. Wish I knew how to post pictures.
