    Model 57 4 inch” FINALLY!

Great catch on an outstanding revolver in an underappreciated caliber. I've been enjoying .41 magnums since purchasing my 1st back in 1971. I'd say you did well with that purchase. WYT-P Skyhunter

    Browning Hi Power Clones

I have the Springfield SA-35. No magazine disconnect, so a much better trigger. I like the finish and the grips. The sights have been "spot on" for everything I've shot out of it. And most important of all - It Doesn't BITE ME!! I have +500 rounds thru it and there's not a mark on my shooting...

    Alox lube question

I'm not any help as regards liquid alox lube, but I did want to point out that those bullets are designed to be used with a gas check. As I'm sure you've noticed, that's an unusual bullet shape, it's a kind of pointed SWC. They're a hoot and always invite comments from other shooters when I use...

38 Spl +P with Lyman 358477 SWC - Test Results

Lyman mold #358477 has been a favorite of mine for the .38 Spl. since I started casting my own bullets back in 1973. It's been a stellar performer for all my applications. I cast an HP version of that bullet as well. My all-time favorite for my .357's is Ray Thompson's excellent #358156 SWC...

Do you clean your primer pockets??

For handgun ammo - that's a solid no. For rifle ammo, a "qualified" maybe. If loading for hunting/accuracy or testing new loads, I usually ensure that they're clean. But for the aforementioned cases, the brass is usually cleaned with steel pins, etc. and the primer pockets are spotless. WYT-P...

    Hello from Oklahoma

Welcome to the forum from Western Tennessee! As regards your comment - "There's just something magical about the 637, can't explain it." The explanation is really simple! It's a S&W - 'nuff said! As you've probably noticed, there's LOTS of knowledgeable and good folks on this forum...

    Alliant powder questions

I started out using Unique for .38 Spl and mid-range loads for my .357 mag. Since I've always enjoyed experimenting, I've used W231 to load many rimmed and rimless handgun cartridges. I laid in a good supply of both Unique & W231 long ago, so I'm "Ok" for now. Since both have become difficult...

    Praise for Collet Bullet Puller

Any time I need to pull bullets on a cartridge with a crimp, I first seat the bullet "a touch deeper in the case". This "breaks" the crimp and makes pulling much easier. I know it's an extra step, but its worked well for me and in many cases preserved the integrity of the pulled bullets to be...

CZ457 Varmint 22wmr wood lottery stock

Well - now you've gone and done it! I'm gonna have to go and SERIOUSLY inspect the stocks on all my CZ's for complete refinishing! LOL! Just what I needed with hunting season rapidly approaching! Another project! But, if I decide they need refinishing, I'm sure they'll wait til winter when it's...
