    I do not understand the concern. Carry the Mod 19 and you can shoot both .357 and 38spl. Load 38 if in close spaces and carry 357 if in more open areas.

    Guess I was more fortunate, Grandfather and Father had great taste in rifles and shotguns and the money to buy Brownings , Berettas, Remingtons and Winchesters. Now my two sons have them. I had to build my own revolver and pistol collection.

    Musings on the M1 carbine

    I have my Father’s M1 carbine from Korean War. I would say it is very good out to 100 yards. I do not shoot it much. I also have a 1943 Winchester Garand M1. After much practice , I became as accurate with it as I am with REM 700 with Leopold 3x9 out to 300 yards.
