    Shout-out to Topduarte

A few months ago, I saw a post by Topduarte titled "Thoughts on this NYSP 28-2" asking about A Model 28-2 that he was considering buying. I made a comment on his post that, if he decided to not purchase the gun, to please let me know because I have been looking for one. About a week ago, I...

    Non-relieved N diamond targets

Educate me! As I look at both sets of diamond targets above, I see that the corner of the grip, next to where the trigger guard would be, has a slight taper to it. I have seen this now on cokes and diamond targets. Are these chips or were the grips made that way?

I would keep them if you ever think you will have a need for them.

    Closing out an Estate

I wish you the best of luck! I just went through this myself. My father passed away and I was Executor. That was about a 3 year process. After he passed away, we noticed that he was doing a great job of hiding my step-mother's dementia. Now I end up as her POA and executor and she had two...

    Any Weatherby Fans Here?

It is my understanding that it is only the early Mark V's and possibly limited to the German made rifles. Mine is an early 4 digit serial number with no prefix that was made in Germany. The underside of the barrel is stamped 63, which I understand to be the year of manufacture. I have since...

    Are These Cokes?

But don't the diamond target grips have the larger checkering pattern but not the palm swell? I usually make my determination by a rear view of the grips looking for the palm swell AFTER I see the larger checkering pattern.

I need a second (+) opinion. Do these grips look like Cokes?

    Any Weatherby Fans Here?

The trigger housing is made of pot metal so, with time, they crack and fall apart. I don't believe the 22 had this issue. It was just the Mark V rifles.

    Any Weatherby Fans Here?

I inherited a Weatherby Mark V .224 Magnum Varmintmaster from my father several years ago. It now has the self-destructing trigger issue that it is known for and I am looking for a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Grip Question

Would 1973 vintage magnas have a black or silver washer? After checking the SCSW 5th and looking on Gunbroker, I believe that they should have black washers. Thanks

    Found a nice 27-2 with a 3.5" barrel

I found a nice 27-2 with a 3.5" barrel today for a lot cheaper than they are going for on Gunbroker. Serial number is N163XXX, so it should have been born around 1973-1974. I often see the older revolvers wearing newer grips. This previous owner went in the other direction.
