    New S&W 327 TRR8 - light ammo strikes

Another month and no gun yet. I did call and they said give it several more weeks. Guy on the phone said the note in the computer indicated they will replace the firing pin when they get to it.

    New S&W 327 TRR8 - light ammo strikes

Thanks for all the help guys. Let me try to answer some of the questions above. First, scooter is right, I made a mistake, the FTF were with Remington Target UMC ammo. Sorry I latter said Federal. I was shooting that in a SEMI-Auto and got confused. Next, on moon-clips. I never thought of...

    New S&W 327 TRR8 - light ammo strikes

I guess I will send it back. I paid extra for a Performance Center gun so my wife would have the best revolver made available to her if needed. Thanks and I will keep you updated.

    New S&W 327 TRR8 - light ammo strikes

No, i bought it new from a reputable local gun shop. Gun is less than a month old and has less than 300 total rounds through it. I bought a cheap hard case over the weekend that I can use to ship it back to the factory in. Is that what I should do or test it some more? I already have the...

    New S&W 327 TRR8 - light ammo strikes

Just an update. The strain screw was tight, so that wasn't the issue. I switched ammo to Blazer Brass 38 spcl. I've fired a couple of hundred rounds through it with the new ammo with no FTF. So, is that enough to know the gun is fine and it was the Federal ammo? Thanks

    New S&W 327 TRR8 - light ammo strikes

Guys, I am fairly new to guns so I need help figuring out the issue. Is it the gun or the ammo? I travel a lot so I bought the gun as a home defense weapon for my wife. Wanted a revolver that I could mount a light on. It is not intended as a range gun, but for my wife to use as home defense...

Sending gun back to factory for repair

7 months, wow. Is that typical? I might rather pay someone local to do the work than be without a brand new gun for 7 months. If i only want the warranty work done and nothing else, what repair times are people seeing?

Sending gun back to factory for repair

Guys, 1. Got a new gun I'm sending back. Is there any special instructions for shipping a firearm by UPS? S&W sent me a label to use. If I pack it in the grey box it came in, will they send that box back to me when they mail the gun back. Don't want to lose the box it came in but I do want...

    Lemon Squeezer ID

Pictures added to original post at the top. 32 cal on top in each photo 38 cal on bottom in each photo The 38 seems to have an issue. When you pull the trigger the cylinder turns as it should but if you then touch the cylinder with your fingers it turns freely with no resistance at all. Any...

    Lemon Squeezer ID

Is there a place on the forum that tells you how to post pictures? I'll need some help with that but will be glad to post some if I can figure out how. If something is wrong with either of the revolvers can they be sent back to S&W for repair or will they not work on revolvers that old...
