Hi guys. I have tried this before but I didnt come up with much. I have a 586-1 that is satin / chrome plated / something. There are no notes or box to help me with the specs. It does not appear in any way to be an after market job. I am looking for help from professionals like you guys here...

    686-NoDash No-M Matching Alpha Serial

This one is AAF. I am considering getting another to go with the plated 586 I have now. That would be an interesting set for sure. I don't think you can go wrong with getting any older 686 though, especially that full lug barrel. They are great guns. You know now you need some nice grips for...

    Advice on Grips`

I almost said "Don't start buying grips because it never stops". However on second thought, as some others have stated, try as many grips as you can get your hands on. Find what you like because every single person is different. Don't spend your paycheck on a set only to realize you don't really...

    Suggestions for a Knife?

Start under $50 read reviews and don't get caught up in the ones with a can opener and cell phone in the grips. Get a good knife under $50 and see how much you use it and go from there. If it stays I'm the drawer then you learned a lesson for fairly cheap. I swear I bought a knife / spork ka-bar...

    Smith & Wesson Customer Service

I am in the process of contacting S&W now for the same thing. My 586-1 has been refinished at some point, hard chrome? Beaded nickle? Anyway I wonder if this will give me any issues after I send it back. I guess I will see. They have done work like you state in the past for me and I trust them...

    Cleaning...

I picked up a 586-1 recently and it appears to have been refinished as some have stated here. it obviously isn't blue like most other 586's. After I took the rubber grips off there was some grips lines. and a small spot of rust or two as you can see in the pictures. I would like to keep this one...
