    S&W 45 Cal. Model 1950 Information Needed

The correct serial number will be found on the butt of the revolver and will start with an "S". Also, please measure the barrel from the cylinder. It actually looks to be 6" or 6.5".

Need help identifying 50's 44 mag revolver

The correct serial # is on the butt of the revolver, and is probably the S179xxx number. It looks to be a "S&W .44 Magnum". It is usually referred to as a pre-model 29. Really nice Coke stocks.

yup $550 S-serial numbered Highway Patrolman $500 (Easy) Coke bottle target stocks $1050 If you just used these acceptable values and tried to sell that prize for $1050 in the classified section on this site, it would be gone within the first hour (at most)…….

West German Sig P226 in rough condition

I was never really a Sig guy until I picked up and shot an older W. German P228 a few years ago. I love that gun. I would have bought your P226 for that price with no hesitation. As soon as it passed my function check, I would have reached into my pocket for cash.

Jon is a great guy. He's honest and a great communicator. A pleasure to deal with.

Not sure if I will ever be able to upgrade again

Beautiful and well rounded collection of firearms. I would be proud to call it my own. If it were my own, though, I probably would add some kind of handy .22 rifle (Win 61, 62A, 63 or an older Marlin 39A) and also some kind of 9mm pistol (Hi Power, Sig P228, S&W Mod 39, etc…).

Thoughts on Spyderco Knives? Thinking About Buying One.

I have a few that I have picked up over the years, and I love them. Light, strong & (always) sharp. I have carried a little Spyderco Dragonfly 2 in my right pants pocket for years. There may be better all-around knives, but this little guy has been perfect for my needs.

    Local Shop-28-2 For Sale

Looks to be a nice gun, but $900 would be really high in my area for a 6" model. I would expect that HP to be offered for $600-700 with it's original box in one of my local shops. The diamond magna stocks may be original to the revolver (are they serialized inside the right panel?), but the...

    .44 Magnum 240g bullets

I'd like to pick up 1000-2000 bullets to reload for my 1950's 6.5" .44 Magnum. I have only used factory ammo in the revolver, but that is starting to get expensive. What do people recommend for bullets (lead/plated/jacketed) and who are the better online sources that ship in bulk? I already...

Approx. Value Please -- 5" 1955 Pre-27 non matching grips

Its not the easiest thing to put a price on shooter grade guns, especially sought after models. But I would doubt that your 5" pre-27 would last very long in the classifieds if it was up for sale for $850-900 without the stocks.

I always wanted to know what an engraved Smith was worth

Beautiful gun and not the worst price in the world. Also, as in most hard to find sets, 1 + 1 = 3 or 4. I'm glad the two revolvers are once again under the same roof. Great acquisition.
