I have both a 6.5" pre-29 and a 4" 29-2, and they both make frequent appearances at the range. The 6.5" is not that bad (but still really fun) to shoot with full power loads, but the 4" can abuse your hand a bit. I find it easier to switch over to the Pachmayr grips on it, as the Factory wood...
