    625-3 (4") VS. 625-4 (5")

    I have a 625-3 with a 4" barrel in 45 ACP. Model of 1989. I really love the gun, but I wish it were a 5" barrel to complement my 5" 629 and 5" 686.

    .22 LR Ammo

CCI mini mag hollow points. They are the most reliable and will function in more rimfires than any other brand I have shot. Back in the day I killed my first deer with them.

    I BOUGHT A 651 TODAY.

I was in one of my regular pawn shops today. They had a 18-3 with a fair amount of bluing wear. This 651 and the blued version which I will assume is a 51. I'm sure I have heard of these before but I don't remember it. A J frame square butt 22 mag. The price was fairly high I thought, but the...

How should I fix my model 60 cylinder latch

Thanks all for your replies. My model 60 is a no dash. Alk8944 thanks for the number to S&W. And the proper names of the parts. The threaded stud was just pressed into the bolt. The threaded stud was still threaded screwed to the thumb piece nut. I'm a machinist and hobbiest gunsmith. I was...

How should I fix my model 60 cylinder latch

I was out shooting my model 60 over the weekend. After about 30 shots I noticed the cylinder latch button was gone. I looked and saw the barrel nut AND the threaded post was gone too! I found the button and the barrel nut and post in the dirt. Very lucky. When I got home I saw the post was just...

HOW DO I FIX MY COMBAT GRIPS

I went to a gun show over the weekend. I was walking around and found a pair of K frame Combat grips. I looked them over and saw they had been broken and glued back together. The emblem washers were gone but the emblems were there. I made the deal for a fraction of what a good pair would cost...

    K 22 Outdoorsman Box

Well sure enough there is a serial number on the bottom of the box, 9579 and below it is HELN. It isn't THE box for my gun.

    K 22 Outdoorsman Box

Thank you all for your input.Where would the serial number be on the box. I see no serial number anywhere. I was told it isn't the correct box for the gun, but with no serial number on the box, who knows?

    K 22 Outdoorsman Box

I recently posted about the K 22 Outdoorsman I bought. It came with a box. That is it, the box, no tools. There is a paper inside the box. My question is what value do I put on the box for insurance purposes. What would I have to pay for one like this? Thanks, John

    K22 OUTDOORSMAN FIND

I neglected to say it is a 1935 production the guy had written down on the info on his display card. I also made a correction in my original post. I have been looking for one for the last 25 years, not 35 years.

    K22 OUTDOORSMAN FIND

I was a t a local gun show this weekend and stopped and talked to a guy. Lots of nice local dealers here. I noticed he had a K22 Outdoorsman in his stuff. I looked it over. Hardly a turn line. Little if any use showing on the ejector rod. The grips are in very good condition. The negative is it...

    S&W 625-3 model of 1989 .45 ACP

Very interesting! So I went and looked at my 625-3 and the grips say N-round. So are your grips mis marked or did they make some 625's with K round butt frames? This is another learning moment about Smith's!

    S&W 625-3 model of 1989 .45 ACP

You have a N frame. K frame grips do not fit the N frame. Your pachs have been cut to fit the N frame. I believe round butt combat grips is what came on your gun. After market wood grips are cheaper than the factory grips.
