Wadcutter target load in 357 brass?

I expect to post the results of my tests soon. Trying to figure out the best way to present the data in an easy to post and read format. Will be a separate thread.

    James Bond's Beretta

Does it matter. No, not really. But for many, finding flaws and inconsistencies in movies can be entertaining. Not just guns but other things like disappearing props, wardrobe incongruity, time of day changes in a scene….

    2400 Available Anywhere?

Does anyone know why this broad range of popular propellants have been pulled out of production? I’ve occasionally come across speculation. But, nothing that seems to be a true and verified reason.

    James Bond's Beretta

Funny coincidence. I bought a 418 at a gun show one year. I collect 25 & 32 mostly prewar pistols. Showed it to the girlfriend. She asked “What are you going to do with it?” I replied, put it on your key chain.

    32 auto question

Screwball, Thanks for that link. I’ve not seen issues like that previously reported with the ammo and owners response. I was aware that BB was hot. But, I believe that they claim loadings are within sammi limits. Hard to imagine how they get reported velocity without over pressure. Going...

    32 auto question

I’d suggest looking at Buffalo Bore. Even their 25 ACP is impressive. Generally both heavier bullets and higher muzzle velocity than normal for caliber. Expensive ammo. Not recommended for routine target practice. But if I were to carry a small caliber for self defense, that would be my choice.

Weird piece of mail from Laredo

As little bit of topic drift here. St Petersburg Florida was an early adopter of recycling water. However, I really liked their approach. Totally independent lines and separate meters. Water was as previously mentioned only for irrigation. Was much better than well water which locally had a...

    .45 auto rim direction needed

I have been using the RCBS auto priming tool for decades. Bench mounted and works exceptionally well. I use it in conjunction with either a single stage press or turret depending on quantity I’m producing or other specific reasons. Unfortunately, I’m surprised to see how expensive it has...

    Modern M frame

Handled one years ago in a pawn shop. Cute little thing. Considered buying it. But, it’s way too small for my hands. Might still be a market for them, however.

    double flash hole

Kind of amusing bit of history. Berdan was an American. His priming system was embraced mostly by Europeans. Boxer was British. His system predominantly used in America.

    double flash hole

Standard berdan priming. More common with European ammo. Yes, sorting is necessary. Great way to break or bend decapping pins if you don’t.

    MEMES

RI indeed! Examined the “updates” offered by Apple for my phone. Didn’t see anything meaningful or useful to me. Just a huge amount of unnecessary software “bloat”. No option to “pick and choose”.

    Incoming 24-3

Recently took my 24-3 to the range. Fond of the 44 special cartridge. But , I generally take one of my 624’s or the 686. I’d forgotten how smooth and astoundingly accurate it is. Hope you enjoy yours as much.

    Remington Model 51

I would love to find a really nice one in 32. Biggest problems with them is a complicated disassembly procedure and a very fragile breech bolt. Parts can be difficult to find.

.38 Special Brass with large primer pocket

Interesting find. Never seen large primer 38 brass. Lots of small primer 45 ACP shows up at our range. Hope someone has an answer to the origin of the 38 oddity.

    For Corvette fans

My brother was a lifelong corvette fan and owner. Bought his first one while still in high school. A red ‘59. Never was without one ever since. Long lost count of how many he owned over the years. He was always waiting for the long promised mid-engine version. Sadly passed away about two...
