What's the SMOOTHEST DA revolver you have?

    All of my S&Ws that had action jobs by my friend Nelson Ford: 14-1, 14-3, 17-2, 17-4, 25-2, 28-2 (two), 29-2, 48-4. Not to mention the ones I foolishly sold: 17-8, 29-2, 586-4, 17-3, & 66-0. He also installed a gold dot on the 14s, 17s, 25-2, 29-2, 48-4 with Patridge front sights. He is a...

    29-2 Questions

Thanks to all. Yes, #2 was serious because I would definitely shoot it. I shoot everything I own. I think I am going to sit back and search a bit as per BigMoneyLewis and see if I can find a "great, but slightly used" one. Probably will not get case &* paperwork, but I don't plan on it going...

    29-2 Questions

Hi Muddocktor - thanks for the reply. No turn line at all. No rust visible. I shoot everything I have, except the numbers matching P08 my wife's step-grandfather brought back from WWII with paperwork. It's in a display case.

    29-2 Questions

I have an opportunity to buy a NIB 29-2 6" blue with presentation case, paperwork, and cardboard box for case. Two questions: 1. Is $1,500 too much? 2. If I buy it and shoot it, will I have devalued it? Thanks in advance

    625-6

Hope you enjoy the 625-6. I bought a 25-2 about 25 years ago (for $317 including tax) and it has always been a favorite of mine. Fantastic shooter! If you reload, but some Auto Rim brass and forget about fighting with Moon Clips. I like FO sights, but mine is TT, TH, TS and I had Nelson Ford...

    M&P compact 22 accuracy

Can't expect great accuracy from a short barreled, inexpensive semi-auto 22 with a very short sight radius. It's really more of a fun plinker. If you want 22LR accuracy, a longer barrel is necessary. S&W makes, or has made, some very accurate 22s. The Victory is decent, but not as accurate...

    S&W Model 48 .22 magnum thread/info sources?

I think you will love a 48 when you get one. I lucked into this 48-4 for $500 early this year. Nelson Ford went through it and I really like the gold dot he added. I have a set of Target Grips on order for it and it will be perfect.

New appreciation for the Model 28

I have two 28-2s that are in about 95-98% condition. Both are 6" and both gone through by Nelson Ford who also added his gold bead to the front Patridge. Both shoot better than I with 38 or 357 loads. I thought I would never sell them because they are great in every respect. However...

    Most accurate .22 LR rifle?

I have 69 year old eyes, so my weaknesses are not my rifles. My best is also a Remington 513T with Redfield 75/68 sights. Way better than me, but I don't see many people shooting without a scope today. Shooting is still more fun than the Lazy-Boy!
