The 3914 has a "hidden" hammer to aid when carrying . Are their any hammers that you can replace them with that still allow you to pull the hammer back but don't stick out as much as the larger hammers?? Also Where on the internet can you get 3rd gen parts other than the obvious Brownells and...

I'm curious as to why you would use an over powered or under powered recoil spring. What are the benefits of this??

That's crazy that you guys need to qualify with your guns to carry them. It CT you take an NRA safety course, shoot about ten rounds out of a .22 and pay taxes and you can carry what ever u want!!

I did some trigger work and stippled the grip on my .40 and it greatly improved my accuracy. I shoot pretty decent at 40-55 feet!!

Yeah, that did it. When i replaced the old weak spring i just assumed that it was installed correctly. I replaced it the same way it came out and didnt even think about it. I switched it around and put about 100 rounds through that mag and no problems!!! Thank You Sir!!

Yeah there the same but the Shield rear sights are not as wide as the FS. A full size rear sight my over hang the side of the slide.
