Who else thinks the new bodyguard .38 is horrid looking!!

My thoughts exactly, but I don't understand why the BG 38 is offensive to some. I think it's safe to say you won't see S&W abandon scandium/aluminum/ss J-Frames and going with steatlthy looking polymer carry guns only. Actually, it appears that they're going back to no lock metal guns in...

Who else thinks the new bodyguard .38 is horrid looking!!

I pretty much like Smith's period; I was just having some fun. Your grips actually got me rethinking the CT grips... they look pretty nice. I was actually commenting on the larger versions that look like poo. Group Hug

Who else thinks the new bodyguard .38 is horrid looking!!

Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers; I like the 642 and 442... just don't like the looks/size of the CT grips on them. (Your's is actually the best looking one with laser grips that I've seen though.) My point is that 642 and 442 are ugly w/ the CT grips just as many think the BG 38 is ugly. The...

Who else thinks the new bodyguard .38 is horrid looking!!

    Have you seen the looks of a 442 or a 642 w/ a CT grip...looks like a J-Frame taking a poo.

Who else thinks the new bodyguard .38 is horrid looking!!

Because of the polymer back end, S&W was able to reshape the grip area. The frontstrap of the frame does not rise up behind the triggerguard, so your second finger is properly supported. I can also get a portion of my pinky on the grip with a higher purchase on the gun, more in line with the...

    Ruger LCR vs 642

What about the Bodyguard? It's S&W's version of the LCR. It's only .7 ounces lighter than the 642. I agree with the Smith Bodyguard 38 suggestion.

Thanks for the welcome to all. I also appreciate the holster advice; I took a look at the Mika's website, and the holster looks like the best thing I 've seen so far. Looks like that'll probably be the one. Thanks again

Question on Insight Laser-S&W Bodyguard 38

I haven't shot mine yet, but I used the allen wrenches that came in the box and adjusted mine to align with my sights. I didn't read the instructions, I just turned the top and side screws until it aligned with the sights. I'll know how well I did when I shoot it at the range.

    Question - BG38 Pocket Holster

I just purchased the Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 38 w/ the laser I love the gun, although I haven't shot it yet. Anyway, (long story short) I want to carry my BG38, but I can't find a pocket holster that accomodates the lazer & cylinder release at the top (not without modifying it anyway)...
