I've had this one for a while, but finally snatched a holster for it a few days ago and decided to post pics. It's a fine tight revolver, with a lot of carry wear. Originally shipped to ZCM Wholesale in Salt Lake City, 17 July 1956. It was wearing later (broken) target grips when I got it, so...

Letter received today. Shipped 17 March 1892 to Simmons Hardware in St. Louis...a happy result - always like finding out guns in the collection were shipped to the home state.

Just got my letter a couple of days ago. Combat Magnum shipped 8 April 1959 with TH, TT, and TG.

I also found it a nice touch - I don't know what the going rate was for HDs at the time, but certainly a couple of bucks cheaper per revolver than ODs. Whoever was in charge of the budget was willing to spend a bit extra for upgraded weapons.

Got some good news in the mail today; shipped 21 August 1934 to the Monterey, CA Police Department with eight other revolvers. Shows carry wear, and right grip is significantly more worn than the left. Aside from the Steinbeck connection, anyone have any interesting 1930s Monterey history to share?

Thanks for the input gentlemen. I am very pleased with both the revolver and the holster. Have had an itch for a good .44 DA to go with my NM#3 American for a long time. Sure wish letter turnaround time was faster! :)

Letter request submitted, will update thread when received. Anyone have approximate ship dates for revolvers in the 25000 serial range? Also interested in any input on the holster, as I have not yet been able to identify the maker.

FINALLY! Letter arrived. Sadly, not a Missouri shipping address as I'd hoped. "Serial number 2520 was shipped from our factory on March 26, 1912 and delivered to Folsom Arms Co., New York City, NY. The records indicate that this revolver was shipped with a 4 inch barrel, nickel finish...

Throwing in the towel; the letter contained correct info, but the serial was a typo. Revised letter already in-hand at no charge. Would've been cool if it was in the original configuration, but can't really complain as I paid "shooter price" for a "shooter revolver"! Still does not answer...

Wait! Wait! I didn't post the other "good news" yet... My revolver is SN N24024...they lettered N24025. Still in the fight. ;) I am just hoping that when I call this week, they will be able to pull my order form - I am 99% certain that I entered the correct number on the letter request...

Bad news is that the letter says revolver originally had 6.5" barrel.
