    WTS 646 no dash

This 646 is from the second batch S&W produced, I believe it is #98 of 300 made. It is not the performance center model. I had it bored out to 10mm and ran some low pressure rounds through it. I fluxed the cylinder afterward and it showed zero problems. According to S&W it was proofed much...

    sold WTS 646 Ti Cylinder

Yup, that's right! According to the guy on the phone at S&W back when I bought it as a spare for my 646 it was the last one in stock. I called a year ago for a friend and asked after a spare (didn't want to sell mine yet) and they said "good luck finding one". Well... My friend did a custom...

Need info on a Model 646

Funny I saw your post as I was getting ready to post a for sale post about my 646 and my spare cylinder.... The 646 was bored out for 10mm and I have had no problems with the low pressure 10mm out of it. I had the cylinder fluxed and zero stress cracks....

WTS S&W 629-5 Performance Center Snub

I am afraid not. It was a masterful job, except for the hole for the ser # to be visible. It was a little rough. But it's on the bottom. As for removal, I suspect you will have to use leverage and they should break or crack off. They are ok, just not swappable.

WTS S&W 629-5 Performance Center Snub

***SOLD PENDING FUNDS*** Yup, I have two of these it seems! I am letting the one I don't shoot go. It is a 2 3/4 inch Performance Center .44 mag, shot very little by my friend. The proverbial one cylinder. I put a few through and put it away. Unfortunately he ditched the factory stocks and...

Another set of Roper Target Stocks?!

Well shoot. Externally they strongly resemble a set for a Colt Python I saw that did have all the interior marks like a Roper. Lacking this internally didn't seem entirely like a deal killer but cast doubt for me. Now I wonder who made them if not Sanderson or Harrit....

Types of Smith & Wesson Revolver Grips

What about these? The Lady Smith came with L frame smooth stocks. The bottom pair came with the 28-2 although I know they are not original; they are very nice wood perhaps cocobolo? I put the T Grip adapter in there and would like to find a correct set for the gun. But I have never seen either...

Another set of Roper Target Stocks?!

Wow! So I got lucky with the last two sets of ropers, who would have thought lightening would strike three times? I'm not sure if it actually did this time, but they are nice stocks. They *seem* to have some characteristics from the threads here, but I am unsure if they actually are, or are...

    Original Roper Grips?

It was the same, but no chips. He was giving a gift to a lady friend an old hand ejector from 1921 and it needed stocks in the worst way. Ahh! Young romance!

    Original Roper Grips?

Thanks! I wouldn't even have know to buy them in the first place if it wasn't for this forum and the wealth of knowledge on it. Just cruising around reading random threads has really been of benefit.

    Original Roper Grips?

Howdy, I came across two of these stocks a few years ago for a steal at a gun store. I let my buddy (reluctantly) have one set and I kept the other. I am 99% certain these are Gagen (sp?) carved Walter Roper grips. I have read probably every thread on them and they have all the...
