I am afraid not. It was a masterful job, except for the hole for the ser # to be visible. It was a little rough. But it's on the bottom. As for removal, I suspect you will have to use leverage and they should break or crack off. They are ok, just not swappable.

Well shoot. Externally they strongly resemble a set for a Colt Python I saw that did have all the interior marks like a Roper. Lacking this internally didn't seem entirely like a deal killer but cast doubt for me. Now I wonder who made them if not Sanderson or Harrit....

What about these? The Lady Smith came with L frame smooth stocks. The bottom pair came with the 28-2 although I know they are not original; they are very nice wood perhaps cocobolo? I put the T Grip adapter in there and would like to find a correct set for the gun. But I have never seen either...

It was the same, but no chips. He was giving a gift to a lady friend an old hand ejector from 1921 and it needed stocks in the worst way. Ahh! Young romance!

Thanks! I wouldn't even have know to buy them in the first place if it wasn't for this forum and the wealth of knowledge on it. Just cruising around reading random threads has really been of benefit.
