Ah, yes... you need to mold out anything that will catch in the Kydex - seeing it at that angle I can see the attachment mount needs to be blocked out.

Yep, that's about right. I really wouldn't leave it in direct sunlight for an amount of time inside a car in the summer - the temperature inside a car can go to anywhere between 30 and 50 degrees above the outside temperature.

I honestly doubt it. You need to go a little nuts to get there and pretty soft foam... If there are any other tools you need, let me know and I can probably point you to the best place.

Going by this sub forum title of "Gun Leather & Carry Gear" I suspect people come here for the most part more interested in gun leather. It's kind of a loaded title... I thought there might be more input on the idea of single point and/or quick release holsters by the time I got to checking...

Seriously, the quality is just a result of serious and obstinate single mindedness... my wife's not a fan of that trait :) Plastacine and thin plastic to put over it works best. I hit some wood with a sander to make one for my M&P 9 which is the only actual gun I mold from now. It can help...

This. A little experimentation... the difference in physiology plus the type of holster used equals experimentation needed. I find I'm too bony for any ankle holster I've played with.

I ordered a different clip to try so that it won't dig as an OWB. That little lip is sooooo convenient for IWB. I'm so glad it's working out. If the new clip works I may offer it as an option.

The Kydex is 0.080 thickness. :) So much is about personal preference when it comes to holsters. The solution that works for you is definitely the best solution...

I hate to point this out, but you didn't fill in the ejection port, unless you are planning on cutting that out... let's just say retention will be a bit more than you want! You also might want to channel out the slide lock with a little wooden dowel. Anything that can catch will catch. I hope...

What material the holster is made from doesn't make a difference to that. Wether the gun touches you skin depends on either how you carry (An undershirt) or if the holster has a guard between the gun and your skin. The guard is normally an option given when ordering a holster.

It does pretty much boil down to personal preferences... but I have basically learned there are three types of people: 1. Put on basically any holster and they are just fine. 2. Need a couple of holsters and a bit of time to figure out where is most comfortable and what type of holster works...
