I am having the same problem with my new 627PC. I have sent it back to S&W yesterday. Ask them to send you a prepaid UPS label. For what you paid for the gun it is not worth fooling around with it since it is under warranty. Good luck.

STAINZ Yes I bought it brand new a few months ago. S&W said it is shootable without the clips as you mentioned. I called Smith up and they said ship it back. What will they do to it is my question.? Thanks N1TKS
