Sold/Withdrawn Curly Myrtle 1911 Grip set - made by Culina - Last Reduction

These were made by John Culina, Culina LLC. I am located in Illinois. This set is Curly Myrtle wood and shows a lot of chatoyance when moved. I am posting photos in different positions to try and show this. These have been on my SA Ronin and the left grip has a couple of very shallow...

    Tracy-Wells hardware shipments

Thru the kindness of Roy Jinks I found a few years back that my K-22 was shipped on August 8, 1952, to a distributor in Columbus, OH and there were 22 units in the shipment. There wasn't anything special about the shipment that warranted a letter but by a process of deduction, I am assuming...

    Centennial question

I saw a want to buy searching for a Grip Safety pin for a Centennial. I realize a lot of these fell out and were lost but wouldn't it be easier to just make one from some drill rod? I don't think they were special in some way.

was all set for some good reading - not to be

I'm bummed. I bought a lot of 19 American Handgunner magazines off ebay, 2017 to 2020 and was all set for some casual reading. Well they were delivered by the USPS yesterday, well the packaging was anyway. I received a sealed plastic bag with the packaging inside but not one magazine. Just...

    Firing pins

I saw a photo on another forum of a new S&W revolver where the frame mounted firing pin has a hollow or hole in the back. Is this something new? ( My newest S&W was from the early 1980's) here is the photo

How did I miss these little knives

While I used to carry a fairly substantial pocket knife; as I got older I found myself gravitating toward small ones in the 2 3/4 to no mote than 3 1/2" range wit 3 to 3 1/4" the sweet spot. Mostly equal end penknives with a blade at each end; Thin and compact I never used a Congress pattern...

Do you check grip serial numbers

When you see grips for sale do you check their numbers to see if they match something you have? I do. Specially sharp shoulder post war magna's; you never know I may run across the ones from my 1952 K-22. No big deal if I don't though as the Culina magna's on her are not coming off.

    New belt coming

I generally wear El Paso saddlery 1 1/2" dress belts. Stiff enough for a holster and look good. Bought my first around 1996 - 1998 and as it was showing it's age I bought another ( an inch longer) about 5 years ago. I did continuing using the old comfortable one off and on and it started...

    Bianchi 13B mag pouch

Bianchi 13B mag pouch marked .45 / 9mm MAG. I assume this is for the #13 Scorpion rigs. Looks like it's for double column magazines but will it also work for single stack 1911 magazines. May be a loose fit but it doesn't look like they would fall out on their own. I already have a 13C mag...

    Question for REDNICHOLS

Mr. Nichols. I was hoping you might respond to my post about my Bianchi 111. Can the safety strap on a lined holster like this with two layers of leather and stitching be successfully stretched? The extended thumb safety on my Springfield 1911 adds just enough bulk and length that it won't...

One of Red Nichols Bianchi designs - 111 Cyclone for a .45

I got this Older US made Crossdraw only Bianchi 111 for a .45 Auto for a great price. From the photos it looks to be barely used, Just a little verdigris to remove from the snap. I always like this crossdraw design; it won't be my main holster for my 1911 but there are times a crossdraw is...
