    This place

Is a great place ! A huge thanks to Lee and the moderators! Whatever needs to be done to hopefully make it more profitable and easier to maintain is just fine with me. Family makes a home not the house. Threw in a random snap to see how that works.

    A correction.

Recently I posted this gun gun with a letter that was an even 300,000 numbers off ! Idiot ! A corrected letter is in hand and imagine that, it added 16 years to the gun making the features fit. My only excuse is I had 7-8 other guns on the bench, not much of an excuse but there it is, anyway...

    No RM ? Don’t despair

RMs, non RMs, five screw guns, they’re all great but if one of them never comes your way not to worry, just pick up a very common 27-2. I think the look feel and history is still there. Came across this photo I took a few years back at the get together in northern Ohio. A good friend (now...

    Long shooters

Looking for information on these fellows. Looked around a bit years ago and found nothing so hoping someone here has a bit of information. Posting here because they apparently preferred this gun. Thanks

    Symposium/birthday present

Was fortunate to be able to purchase this from a nice gentleman at the recent symposium and finally got it home yesterday. Couldn’t ask for a nicer condition 22/32, and it even came with a box although not numbered to this particular gun. Serial #458302

Thanks dad ! 48 years ago

Sophomore year with money from first job dad says sure ! Through a policeman friend this gets delivered about a week later. A ridiculous number of rounds through it although I’ve not shot it in years, need to remedy that !

    Roper/Gagne/ Griffin & Howe connection

Have been thinking about the mystery K frame stocks thread and the possible Griffin & Howe connection to Roper/Gagne, so a few questions. First, does anyone have a copy of the folder mentioned in the G&H advertisement ? And second, does anyone have a set of these stocks from G&H in an...

Never expected to have one of these, certainly not this nice. The stars aligned so here it is. A huge thank you to RKmesa for offering it to me, and also to my wife for saying “just buy it”. Reg number 2135 shipped March 29, 1937 to W.A. Harvey Sporting Goods Co. just as you see it.

    Kearsarge carved boxes

I have been meaning to post these photos for SixgunStrumpet, he was kind enough to loan me these treasures to examine along with some very fine grips. In a past thread he was in pursuit of the correct gun and grips for these boxes. After trying several different M&P Targets it was obvious that...

    a few grips for sale

I have a total of four sets of grips for sale. The first two sets shown are my take on the "Fuzzy Farrant" style of grip. Both are English walnut with finger grooves, both K frame, one SB one RB, both finished in Tru-oil and using my hardware. These were made awhile back as a test and have...

    Grips for sale

I have these three sets of grips available for sale. The two Target sets are made from Mora, I purchased the wood because it reminded me of Goncalo Alves in color and figure but is a bit fancier than what is usually found in GA. The Magnas are made from Redheart and were originally made to...

A message to my forum friends

Well I'm back home after a ride to the hospital about 12:30 am this past Thursday. Was kind of uncomfortable part of Wednesday, went to bed about 10:30 and got woke up at midnight with big time pain, end result is Diverticulitis. Looks like I have some big changes coming along with more visits...
