    Fence row weeds.

I typically use Round Up for weeds but have yet to try it on my fence rows. I'm concerned about the health reports re Round Up. What are the alternatives? The subject came up on another forum after another recent study showed negative effects w/Round Up. Some posters suggested: Formula 1: 1/2...

    Potent bear spray?

Assuming different brands have different levels of reliability, any tried and true brands you know of? "Mama Fisher's Homemade Environmentally Safe Bear Repellant" might not be the best choice when Yogi sees me building a fire. What brand is better? Also, what's the shelf life for a can of...

Gunbroker acting hinkey for anyone else?

Log on. Select pistols>revolvers. Then select Smith and Wesson. Then I select a specific model, like, 642. It says they've got 883 of the model for sale. I click on the model link. It goes to a page that says '0.' Did they change something? I gotta pay to bid? Or something?

Do you have any favorite movies about WW2?

Dad was in Patton's 3rd Army. Safe to say, I like the movie "Patton" with George C. Scott. But my favorite is a movie called "Battleground" with Van Johnson and James Whitmore. It was made in 1948 and is about the 101st Airborne at the Battle of the Bulge. You have any favorites?

Our Founding Fathers' perspective on private gun ownership.

I found this interesting as, I'm sure you will. [begin quote] “A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined...” - George Washington, First Annual Address, to both House of Congress, January 8, 1790 “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.” - Thomas Jefferson, Virginia...

If you watched certain YouTube videos, investigators demanded your data from Google

If you've ever jokingly wondered if your search or viewing history is going to "put you on some kind of list," your concern may be more than warranted. In now unsealed court documents reviewed by Forbes, Google was ordered to hand over the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and user activity...

    Sig Sauer experts?

Other than the label on the original box, how do you tell the difference between the SSE and the SAE? The SAE has the medallion on the grips. The SSE does not. But if someone reversed the grips, how can you know if the gun is SSE or SAE?

    Any motorcyclists here?

The tires on my bike were made in 2018. I had them mounted in 2019 and, because of ....... life ......... I've only ridden the bike 1,313 miles since I had them mounted. I want to start riding again and am told that the life expectancy of a motorcycle tire is only 5 years. Maybe six if the...

    Future retirement location?

Currently am in Oklahoma but considering other locations. What I like about OK is that it's solidly red. Our governor thumbs his nose at the liberals in DC and has pledged support for TX. We've also got some of the best laws for private ownership of firearms. I'd like to stay in a...

    Kudos to Berry's bullets.

12/5/23 I ordered 1000 230 gr copper plated 45 ACP RN bullets from Berrys. I got the confirmation and thank you email that day. (Tuesday.) No estimate of delivery date. "OK", says I. Backlogged? Supply chain issues? Copper shortage? I decided it might be a long wait. I got back to the house...

    Medical prices and Medicare.

I broke my ankle and injured my something longus ankle tendon. My foot doc sold me an ankle brace: $240. Medicare paid it. I went online to see the real cost: <$50. I asked my wife about it. She's an ortho PA specializing in upper extremities and she works at that clinic. She explained that...

Behind the neck or over the head?

I have two pair Howard Leight over the head electronic muffs. When wearing a hat, the seal between muffs and head isn't always that good. I've been looking at the Sordin Pro-X behind the neck muffs. Are they a superior design/brand for hearing protection in a hunting scenario?

Ques for you guys on Medicare re the supplement.

For those who have used gunbroker, lately...

I've a question as it's been a long time since I sold anything there. If you sell merch that totals over $600, does GB send you a 1099? I ask because I do my part for the economy, viz. buy high and sell low. So, if the answer to my question is yes, what if one buys a gun for $1,000, but...

Optics for a hog/coyote shotgun; low light?

This is the gun. I'm replacing some parts (mag follower; stock safety for large safety; volquartsen extractor). Plus putting a picatinny rail for a QD illuminated sight. Question is, what kind of sight would you recommend? Red dot? Low power scope with illuminated reticle? If red dot...

Question re picatinny rail on Remington 870

I'm setting up a Remington 870 Express for turkey and coyotes. I discarded the 18 inch barrel and replaced it with a Remington barrel with rifle sights. I also want a picatinny rail on the receiver so I can install a QD Red Dot for low light conditions. Then, in daylight, I pull off the Red Dot...

    I took delivery of a S&W 1911.

    Hearing protection merely delays tinnitus?

Yet another thread re hearing protection on a sister forum. Earmuffs and Ear Plugs worn together | The High Road The best protection is plugs and muffs. But with plugs and muffs, I'm not able to hear game walking through the fall leaves, for example. Even with my new Howard Leight Impact...
