I carry mostly a M638 and a speed strip and/or a speed loader. Friends are advising me to change to a S&W 9mm with extra mag. I can't see any real advantage to doing so. What do you think? Thanks.

First thanks for the replies. But the ejector rod is straight and the trigger stopping half way through seems to be random on double action and never on single action. I can go 20+ dry fires ok and then suddenly it will jam. I release the trigger and all is ok. It's a 6K with red ramp and black...

When firing or dry firing it double action it sometimes locks up 1/2 way through the trigger pull. When I release the trigger it cycles ok for several pulls. The action is clean and looks tight with everything in place. Please advise what you think the problem could be. Thanks much.
