for the .44 Magnum handgun of your choice - S&W, Ruger, TC, even C***. If you could have just one cartridge, carried in the gun or in your pocket, your choice, which would it be? Does not need to be current manufacture.
A friend has a Model 41 whose serial number starts with UMB. He wants to know its "birth year." It is not clear to me from S&N #3 or #2 whether that is a normal number for a S&W autoloader, or part of some special run, as he thinks may be the case. I do not have a S&N #4.

Just got my #1 Pancake from Ray for my "1917" 22-4. It looks good and it fits the gun, which is not really a surprise. I also banked on Ray's police experience for knowing what works. Good bet! That 5.5" N-frame fits my body, is comfortable, and can be drawn easily. All I need to do on my part...
